I fish a Thursday Evening Night Circuit (5pm - 9pm) on one of the local lakes here. We have about 75+ boats each tournament and I have been donating the $45.00 dollar entry fee in the last 4 tournaments. That changed last night. I had a 14.81 pound five fish stringer that took first and netted me $875.00 to deposit in the bass account today. That should pay for the rest of the years tournament fees, so any other winnings will be profit. Elwood

Re: biggest fish CH I did not ask you for an explination for your fish, if you say that is what you caught then who am I to dispute what you have stated. I do not personally know you so I would not doubt your integrety. I was pointing out that you should not make pointed remarks at other peoples accomplishments that you can only back up with ball park formulas. I have seen these formulas be off as much as three pounds on bass and they do not work for all fish because they are built differently. Try it on a bass then a pike after that put them on the scale. It may open you eyes. I'm sure that it would humor me some more. Cheers Elwood

Re: Double Standards The winning of a National Championship celebration is not considered a riot, maybe a celebration that got way out of hand. LOL I know that by definition it is a riot. I hate the fact that nations and groups trash the Bible and the symbols of the US but I am proud of the fact that we as a nation are mature enough in our views to not let third world gustures and mauled symbols dictate our actions toward that country or religion. The old sticks and stones saying. There are times where it is a good thing that I am not in charge. LOL Elwood

Re: biggest fish Ch why did make the little smirk about being stocked. Why degrade or dispute what another person said that they caught? Apparently he is very proud of the fish or he would not have posted them. How do you know that the shark you caught was 130+ pounds? Did you weigh it or just guess it's size. The way you stated the weights of your fish indicated that you did not weigh them either, you just guessed the weights. It is mighty hard to catch a 12 and a 35 pound even fish. That is just a few questions (not accusations) that could come out of your post. So please don't degrade another persons accomplishments because questions could come up about yours. Elwood

Re: Busted 8 pounds Doc, I am happy to say that I have caught 30 fish (the one at the biginning of this post made 30) over 8 pounds and all but one have been released to make baby big bass or put a smile on someone else's face. The one that I did kill, an 8.16 lbs, which was my first over 8 lbs was mounted and the 10.40 lbs on the wall is a replica. CPR - catch, photograph, and release Elwood

A husband would just distract or slow her down at this point in her career. Re: monster trout (tips?) Live bait may be the only way to get one on the hook. 4 pound test, No. 10 hook, and a med nightcrawler. Throw it out there without a weight and let it sink slowly. Just hook the worm one time throught the body. The slow fall will look natural to the old smart trout and he may bite. The rest is up to you. Good luck Elwood

Re: Mandatory-Shirts inside the pants for all schools I support it 100%. The schools around here have chosen uniforms for all grades. I like that even better. Keeps everyone equal and makes the rules easier to enforce. The kids still find ways to be trendy but it is only minor infractions of the regs. Elwood

Re: News From Hometown. Shouldn\'t Have Happened. That is a good veiw point from the stand point that one of my daughters was molested and survived. My comments where more oriented around the loss of my daughter to one of these freaks. I don't think that I could go through life knowing the scum that took my daughters life, innocence, and future away for his pleasure was still living. I do have two other daughters to take care of but I think that I would leave that up to God and the jury to decide how long I would have be away from them. Elwood

Re: What deals have gotten away from you? One that did not get away was my Ruger No. 1. I was thinking that 595.00 was good and watched it for almost a year. I visited the shop late last year and they dropped the price to 495.00 so I bought it. Sometimes waiting is good. I love the rifle. Elwood
