  1. finally beat 14, but after about 20 attempts at 15 I had to quit do to frustration and my hand hurting lol
  2. I'd have to say my uncle Joe who was killed in Vietnam about 11 years before I was born.
  3. Way to go guys, Congratulations. Another fun contest come and gone. Thanks jcwa for running it this year.
  4. It snowed on and off almost all day yesterday but we only ended up with a total of maybe 1.5-2 inches. I'm ready for spring to get here so I can start golfing.
  5. Couldn't help but think of this scene from The Office when reading this thread:
  6. I posted about this back around September. Good thing I printed it out to read.
  7. The original lyrics to this song have nothing close to what he sang during the halftime show, no mentioning Bush or any other president for that matter. He changed the words to send his message. The video in the link above jump right to were he is saying that line, no need to suffer through the whole thing again.
  8. Turned out to be a pretty good game. Glad the Packers won. I wanted to see Charles Woodson finally get a ring. Stinks that he got hurt though.
  9. I decided on the buffalo chicken dip, some BBQ wings, cheesy potatoes, and some stuff to make some subs. Not sure what anyone else is going to bring.
  10. What's everyone having for the game on Sunday? I'm still trying to figure out what to make/buy. So far all I know I am making is that buffalo chicken dip (the recipe someone posted in the chuckwagon room here). Might get some wings to make also and maybe just pick up a sub from somewhere.
  11. We got a good amount last night. Here is what we had to clean off of the driveway this morning: It just stopped snowing a little bit ago....Going to have to go out and clean up the 2 or so inches we got after we cleaned this morning.
  12. Parmesan garlic? Thats one of my favorites. I also like Honey BBQ, Mild, and Spicy garlic
  13. Same here, OK I got a bit farther than 3 minutes but still I lost interest. Honestly, I really don't need all of this high production fancy editing in a hunting show. It seems they are putting more time and effort into making these shows "pretty" with all of the cut aways, and dramatic effects and not focusing on what (IMO) we really want to see, which is quality uncut footage of the hunt.
  14. 1. Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, Versus, local channels. 2. It really depends on the time of year and if I am the hunting mood or not. When I do get the itch and start watching I probably watch more on the outdoor channel but the sportsman channel is a close second. 3. Both. If I can catch them live I watch them, but I also have the DVR set to record a couple of my favorites. Outdoor channel to me has the higher quality shows, then Sportsman Channel. 4. Do you mean more time watch hunting shows on TV or the internet, or just surfing the internet in general? I watch more shows on TV, but I am also usually on the computer at the same time. I definitely spend more time over all on the internet. 5. The only show I have watched on the internet is Heartland Bowhunter. Great production, footage, and high quality.
  15. Nope, I haven't received mine yet either.
  16. I agree Steve, I tend to tune out just about everything now. If I read something that frustrates me, I just ignore it. Whenever I do feel this place is a bit out of hand (which really isn't often) I just go visit another forum and it makes me realize how nice this place is to have. You want to see how poorly a site is ran and how this place would end up if it wasn't for these moderators we have...go to Michigan-Sportman.com. Trust me, it'll make everyone here who complains appreciate what we have here a whole lot more.
  17. Glad your dad is doing better Kyle and congrats to you and the family on the new home .
  18. My cousin just bought a Compaq from Best Buy a couple days ago. It has 2gb of ram (upgradable to I think 8), and a 250gb HD. He does pretty much the same things you will be using it for and it works fine for him. I think it was around $350. I would recommend upgrading the ram a bit, at least to 4gb. Here is the one he bought: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Compaq+-+Presario+Laptop+/+AMD+V-Series+Processor+/+15.6%22+Display+/+2GB+Memory+/+250GB+Hard+Drive+-+Basic+Black/1271897.p?id=1218245812097&skuId=1271897
  19. The little button on the side that is supposed to make it search doesn't work. If you enter your town or zip code and then hit enter it should work, at least it did for me.
  20. I have had mine since April of last year. It's great. I don't think it will ever replace my laptop, but it's nice in case I want to travel light and still have most of the capabilities of of my laptop. I go out of town quite a bit, mostly to visit family around the state. I used to pack up my laptop and haul that around, but now unless I have work to do, I just grab the ipad. It does what they say it does. I check emails, surf the web, play games, watch movies. If you have used an iPod touch or iPhone, then you know there are a TON of apps for these devices. I'd say the only con there is the lack of flash support, but it really hasn't been as big of a deal as i thought it would. The update for these is coming up soon. Should be sometime in February that they announce it. The reports going around are that it will be a bit of a different design, possible front and rear facing camera, and a display upgrade.
  21. Site looks pretty good, I like the concept....turning someones deer into a decal or shirt pattern. Are you not getting enough traffic?
