  2. Re: Very first trail cam pics. How long should I leave the camera undisturbed before I check it for pictures?
  3. Re: Moultrie digital No video at night, just a still. Make sure you're using Energizer or Duracell. Do not use Rayovac batteries in any Moultrie products. They don't have high enough amperage. It could cause malfunctions and sporadic operation.
  4. Re: Anyone heard of this shotgun? It looks like it could be the predesesor to the Super 90.
  5. Re: Your name...Just now noticed Atleast people have a general knowledge of what it refers to.
  6. Re: lets see some pictures of your bows 2005 Hoyt V Tec
  7. Re: dropaway rests I really like my Trophy Ridge Drop Zone also. I've used it on 2 different bows.
  8. Re: what kind of arrows and barodheads shoul i get I like Carbon Express 6075 Terminator Arrows, Quick Spin Vanes, and Wasp SST Jack Hammer mechanical broadheads. Once my Wasp broadheads are all gone, I may be switching to the Rage or Snyper mechanical. Rage and Snyper are exactly the same, they just changed that name and remarketed them. The Rage are selling like they are going out of style. They couldn't sell the Snyper for some reason.
  9. Re: Moultrie digital Here is link to pictures from my brand new Moultrie Gane Wathcer 2.1. The fastest shutter time possible is 1 minute. It needs to be set up in a way that will maximize the amount of time the deer are in front of the camera. Such as a feeder or facing down a trail. Without an SD Memory card it will take 97 low res pics and 17 hi res pics. I am using this camera because I can keep them there long enough to get the pics. I am going to get a 256 MB memory disc. That way, it will take 1,711 low res and 466 hi res. Right now my pics are on low res becasue I haven't got the disc yet. I will be getting 2 cards though, that way, I don't need to take the whole camera home to view the pics, just replace one card with another. The reason I bought this camera is so that I am not out a bunch of money if it gets stolen and I really don't have time to make my own right now because I am working so much. http://www.realtree.com/forums/showflat....rue#Post1054819
  10. Re: Very first trail cam pics. I've seen alot of fawns still in spots around here. It's still warm. This week it cooled down to the 60's but, it's supposed to go back up to the mid 80's. I know there are atleast four bucks on this property. Last year I saw 2 buttons, 1 6 pointer, and a big 8+ pointer.
  11. Well, these are not Earth shattering pics but, they are my very first trail cam pics with my Moultrie. Yesterday my buddy and I went out and put up the feeder, camera, mineral block with Block Topper, and my stand. BTW, the Block Topper is awesome, they already ate all of it.

    Salt Licks

What time of is is it best to use salt licks or blocks? I recall hearing it's best to use them during a certain time of the year. To add to the equation, I hunt on a horse farm where blocks are available all year round. I want to try that Block Topper stuff.
  13. Re: American Pioneer Powder My father and I both use American Pioneer powder. We like it alot. It's way cleaner than Pyrodex or Goex.
  14. Re: Woodchuck hunting. I have a sun room on the back of my house and plenty of land. I set up so the muzzle is just inside the window and use sub sonic 22's. The neighbors down the road never hear it. I've gotten several ground hogs (woodchucks) that way. My dad and I hunt ground hogs extensively in the summer. My choice of weaponry is a Savage 112 BVSS with a Springfield Armory scope in .243 Winchester. We shoot hogs at up to 400 yards when the wind is calm.
  15. Re: Buffalo County, Wisconsin Beast!!!! wow
  16. Re: New Hoyt Trykon? I've already checked on that Riser Shock. The Trykon is the only bow it will fit. String Shox will not be commercially available except from Hoyt. Has anyone tried the cable slide from Limb Saver on a Hoyt V Tec?
  17. Re: 2500 Game Tracker ??? I used the peroxide one time after shooting a deer just to see if it worked after reading about in a magazine. The blood trail was so good I didn't need to use it though. I have actually never used it to find a deer. I never tried it on dry blood. The original poster was color blind so I think he might find this to be another option. P.S.- I always have a spray bottle with peroxide in the truck just in case.
  18. Re: Climber acc. bags?? Those bags can be used on almost any climber.
  19. Re: 30 Foot Ladder Stand or Climbing Sticks I saw that they offered those and it did peak my interest a bit. I kind of like the Summit model because it has more room to place my boats, um, feet when climbing. I'm just gonna upgrade my climber a bit and use that. It'll be cheaper and more portable.
  20. Re: Update on that 173 score buck from Hershey, PA Can't you hunt on base? If not, most Army posts offer hunting opportunities. Call their wild life management folks. They are usually a detachment from the Provost Marshalls Office.
  21. Re: Do you use a light for your sight? I like having it if I need it but, I've never shot anything with it.
  22. Re: Are these the same or differnt deer? Can someone tell the top deer to turn to his left a little bit? Good call Leo.

    Treestand Help

Re: Treestand Help Leave it where it's at. Jusst be aware of your movement.
  24. Re: does snow on arrows affect flight??? If possible, go out and drop some arrows in the snow and then shoot them. Let us know how it goes. I would think ice wouldn't come out at release. I would avoid ice.
  25. Re: Long Range Shooting When I was in the Army I was a sniper for an MP SRT team (SWAT). I had the opportunity to shoot at 1000 yards with a .338 Lapua from Accuracy International. A rep was trying to sell us one. I loved that rifle. I scored 5 out of ten hits on a B-27 humanoid target. Since a 1000 yard shot was not something a SWAT sniper would have to do in a real situation, we only did it for fun because the rifle could do it. I only got to do it one time. We stuck to the M-24 at 100, 300, and 500 yards. To my dismay, we never bought the AI. I like the fact that you could shoot through the cockpit window of a 747 and still hit point of aim, point of impact 7 yards behind the glass. Shooting through glass is not something a sniper wants to do.
