  1. Re: Passed on a decent 8 this morning (video) That was a cool video.
  2. Re: Pigeons * PICS * Good shooting. Like you, I'm addicted to air guns and air gun hunting. I shoot at a local commercial duck farm all the time and bag plenty of wild pidgeons. They really are good eating if prepared properly. If you use an air rifle with a little more power you'll recover alot more of the birds you kill. Try a gun shooting 1000 fps and you'll drop them instantly. Nice pics, really enjoyed them.
  3. Re: What yall eatin in the stand.... Granola bars, power bars, venison/beef jerky and bottle of water. If I plan on spending most of the day I'll pack a full lunch, but most of my forays into the woods are only a couple hours long.
  4. Re: First kill with new bow (pic) Nice hogs, great picture. Congratulations. I wish they had those where I live.
  5. Re: squirrel hunting is what i miss do you. Squirrel hunting is my favorite small game pursuit. The only thing I enjoy as much is eating them after I get home.
  6. Re: Good Meat -vs-Little horns I'd shoot the doe for the meat in a heat beat.
  7. Re: Venison is all gone, very sad!! I have 6 deer left in the freezer, but that includes 3 roadkills I took home from work. Night before last at work I had to shoot a huge doe that got hit by a car, I didn't need the meat so I called a friend who had run out of venison and he gladly showed up for the meat. Whenever we get a good roadkill I usually try to find someone who wants it, I just hate to see all that meat rot on the side of the road.
  8. Re: Fall 2003 Rifle Deer Pic nice deer, congrats
  9. Re: Do you wear glasses Starting about 2 years ago I started wearing glasses full time and it's a pain in the butt when hunting, especially bow hunting. I'm getting better each year dealing with these stupid things hanging on my nose while I'm in the stand, but I really wish I didn't have to wear them.
  10. Re: How many Deer have you taken?? Probably around 100 for me total including gun and bow, never really kept a count but that would be close.
  11. Re: Grilling steaks 2 the rarer the better.
  12. Re: Cool Site just saved it,,, thanks

  14. Re: My 2005 Archery Buck!!!!!! beautiful deer, congrats
  15. Re: Trout I like to put them on the grill and throw on some cherry or mesquite wood and smoke them. Nothing better.
  16. Re: Grilling Steaks... A grilled rib eye is like heaven to me, but I would gladly consume any grilled steak.
  17. Re: New Member ! Welcome.
  18. Re: String Loops string loop has always worked well for me.
  19. Re: One income family? If you add up all the hours my wife puts in a week with her 3 different part time jobs she's practically working full time. With 1 daughter already in college and another one starting this coming September, which we've been saving for, we manage to survive but without any "frills". We watch every penny and do without alot of the extras. It should get be easier once the kids are finished with college, but that's still quite a few years off.
  20. Re: I\'m hungry, what\'s your favorite meal I'd have to go with marinated backstrap grilled over coals laced with mequite wood, baked sweet potato with butter and cinnamon and some fresh corn on the cob.
  21. Re: my 9 point from this year nice deer, congrats.
  22. Re: Occupation and Deer Hunting County police sergeant. I work 4 days on then 4 days off which leaves me plenty of time to hunt.
  23. Re: Carbon Express I've been shooting carbon express "terminator hunters" for a couple of years now and have never had any problems at all. I've very happy with them. Have taken many a deer with them and they've always worked well.
  24. Re: I am currently working my 17th year I just finished my 20th year and I have to say you've pretty much hit the nail on the head.
  25. Re: Still too many doe: I'd take one of those does in a second.
