  13. Re: To those who process their own deer? About 2 weeks ago I read another thread similar to yours and one of the other guys replied with this link http://www.kdfwr.state.ky.us/video/deerfield.wmv?lid=1038&NavPath=C151C158 I have been processing my own deer for a long time, but I still enjoyed the video and thought it was pretty good. 18. Re: RockyMountain BroadHeads! I used to use Rocky Mountain fixed blade broadheads and had great success with them. I switched years ago to thunderheads, but those rocky mountain broadheads did the trick for me more than once.
  19. Re: Making the right decisions that's cute
  20. Re: punishment for poaching I think the penalty options available to a judge should be broad and varied and each case should be judged, and penalties levied, based upon the facts surrounding that specific poaching incident. I agree noone should be punished extremely harshly for a minor violation, however a poacher who is proven to be a repeat offender, or one whos acts truly warrant extremely harsh penalties should certainly receive such a penalty.
  21. Re: I blew it - Twice! we all miss. as long as it's a clean miss it's ok, and it serves to make the "thwack" sound from a solid hit even more exciting. Hang in there,,, you'll connect.
  22. Re: Who\'s ready? I'm so ready I'm dying,,, but I have to work so I won't be in the woods for the first sunrise. I will be up that tree though to watch the first sunset of the season.
  23. Re: temperature Been hangin around the 70 degree mark during the day, but at times will climb close to 80. Hope it "chills up" a bit before the opener of bow season on Oct. 1st otherwise I'll to butcher the deer right away if I'm lucky enough to bag one.
  24. Re: Keeping the Feet And Hands Warm Last year was the first year I started using those "hot hands" packets and I will never go without them again. Worked like a charm and seemed to last a long time.

Re: does I would gladly shoot a doe on opening day, or early in the season, in order to put some venison in the freezer. After procuring a supply of meat I'd then start to look for for horns.
