  1. I can tell the first few days back to shooting that after a few groups, theres a little lag in the arms. But i think more importantly, how many arrows are you shooting each "set". We've always shot 3.
  2. I thought the climber i had was just fine..until i spent one afternoon in a summit. The only thing i don't like about them..there too comfortable and i try to sleep the whole time lol.
  3. Check the Nikon BDC 250. Our the Ultimate Slam from Leupold. Bushnell also just came out with a muzzleloading scope with a DOA reticle. I can't make up my mind between the BDC 250 or the Ultimate Slam..i believe both are accurate with their reticles, just need to know which one gathers light better in low light situations.
  4. What model did you get? I looked hard at the capture IR, because in my mind cuddeback had always been at the top of the list as far as trail cameras go. But as i got to looking into them, i just saw to many bad reviews.
  5. I looked at the Recoynx cameras for just a little bit 2 weeks ago, then i realized how long it would take to save up to purchase one lol. The camera is made by M.A.D. which also made the Wild Life Eye a few years ago. One of the guys we hunt with bought one of the Wild Life Eyes when they first came out and it was awesome. I would imagine the Recoynx camera would be nothing short of outstanding. I ended up going with a moultrie 4.0 game spy for 1/3 of the price. And i know this is a recoynx thread, but ive been very happy with mine so far.
  6. I know last year on one the realtree shows on ESPN 2 they had a setup something like in a trailer, with a pulldown screen that showed footage of deer and you could actually shoot the screen. I think it could make different angels and yardages, it then showed you where you hit the deer and if it would be a fatal shot. It was pretty darn cool.
  7. HAHAHA...i was reading that going, "i hope nobody doesnt understand that" and of course lol. Looks like that joker got what A-Rod had left over.
  8. I used to hold the bow closed handed, and got used to shooting open handed on the ground. I do it without a wrist sling. Once you get comfortable shooting with an open hand and stop thinking your gonna drop your bow, you'll see your groups get alot better. I also think it helps when your about to take a shot in the woods because if your adrenalin's pumping and your standing there squeezing your bow to death...well just not good lol.
  9. Beman ICS 400's..havent decided on what vanes yet.
  10. Lol add me to the list of wal-mart fieldlines. For as cheap as they were, ive been very happy with mine. I used to take just a little waist pouch type thing, but once i got used to the switch..i couldn't be happier. Mathews made one a few years ago that are almost impossible to find anymore. It was a full size back pack that also held your bow..pretty neat deal.
  11. MH517, you were asking about Bemans. I shot Easton Epic 400's until 2 years ago when they changed them to the slimmer version to be more like the Axis arrows. The old epics are almost identical to the Beman ICS 400's, so i changed without hesitation. A few of the guys shot beman ics 400's so i shot them plenty over the years and couldn't tell any difference at all shooting, didn't even have to move any pins. And i'll be shooting them again this year.
  12. You also have to remember, when those numbers are put out there doing everything that can be done to get every last bit of speed out of that bow. Once you start putting anything on the string, the FPS slows down. Also depends a ton on what arrow and grain broadhead your shooting to. Id be suprised if many of our hunting setups were going over 300 FPS.
  13. Obviously these are the two most common scopes for muzzleloaders these days. Which one do you guys like, pro's and con's, clarity, low light visability, etc...
  14. Us mathews guys don't need a frat, but you need us for any reason..you can find us over at the sororitie house.
  15. Congrads...you think you could teach me how to plug my sponsors like that, i need some help there. Great story too.
  16. Didnt get it mounted???? wow...
  17. You gave it a SERIOUS effort, nobody's gonna fault you.
  18. I had a WB for a few years and since Waddell had one, well i just had to have one. Put it on my Switchback, and didn't like it/ couldn't get it set up right. So over the summer i took it to my local pro shop and had the tech fix it as best he could. Still didn't like it..it's sitting in the box in my room and the WB is back on. Lol anybody wanna very lightly used ZE?
  19. Up until this year i had never lost any, or even come close for that matter. Ive now lost 2 brand new arrows with brand new heads on them...never even got passed through the WB. It's getting expensive to be this stupid.
  20. I think it's awesome, would love to see a full show. Id hope that he does show respect for an animal after the kill, but without seeing the whole thing, it's hard to tell. But i love the fact that he'll shoot anything...we have that in common.
