  1. Ours changed this year so that you can use a bow during the Muzzeloader only week. Just so happens it's our fall break...i'm super pumped and can't wait.
  2. They guy here at Wal-Mart's been there a few years and know's us all. Real good guy and knows what he's doing...takes about 5 minutes and i'm out the door.
  3. Dude thats huge...wow, let him hold it.
  4. Mine came this last fall and is one thats so stupid you have to laugh. It includes all the "i can't believe i did that" things you always find yourself doing at some point in your career. Anyway, my best friends dad and I who hunt together almost everytime we hit the woods went to a property we have one morning about 15 minutes from the house. We got there and were running about 5 minutes late, but nothing to bad. Morning was cool and had tons of potential..just one of those that had excitment as soon as you steped out of the truck. I decided to head for a stand in the bottom I had been saving all year that nobody had sat in yet, but to get there you have to find a path on the edge of the field. Well needless to say i missed the path...a couple times. By the time i realized i needed to get back to the field and figure out my bearings...first light had crept up. My buddy's dad see's my fletchings in my quiver with his bino's and is laughing at me from across the field. But i finally get on the path and make my way to the stand about 30 minutes late, get climbed up and start hanging my gear up...next thing I know my phones going bazurk in my pocket, Tim had sent me a text asking me how many laps i was planning on running in the "i'm lost 250". Me being a ticked off smart a#@, i reply'd with "ive already won, im just trying to figure out where i want to do my victory lane burn outs at." Next thing i know while i'm texting back a shooter buck comes walking down the path I just walked in on not 5 minutes prior at 12 yards...I got busted trying to put my phone away and get my bow off the hanger. Just had to laugh it off and tolerate being laughed at by everybody for the next couple days.
  5. It takes a TON of shooting for my Easton's to start showing wear from the WB. I also always take a little dab of glue and put it right on the tip of the fletching...never had one fly off.
  6. I havent changed my set up based soley on a pro's change. I know it didn't hurt to remind myself that waddell was shooting a Zero Effect when I bought mine...ive had it on there for about a week now, but the WB will be back on there next week...and not because he doesn't shoot one anymore.
  7. I'll be shooting Axis arrows this year and i'm very excited about it.
  8. Beman ICS 400's are good, As much as i don't like the new design the Easton Epic 400's are still a good arrow, or if you wanted to go to a smaller diameter...i'm shooting Easton Axis 400's.
  9. I have a set of wrapped Axis 400's coming here in the next few days. Been shooting Epic 400's, but after the new ones they came out with i couldn't stand that new design and figured since they went to the smaller diameter..why not.
  10. Currently have a TRU Ball tornado, love it very smooth. But looking at a TRU Ball Pro diamond extreme so i can put my hands in my lap and be still....that little trigger makes me have ADHD.
  11. Anybody know where to get a copy of the song Rhett Atkins was singing...been looking the last couple days, but havent been able to find it. Awesome DVD tho...couple more whitetails with a bow coulda helped, but very satisfied with the purchase.
  12. Hunting aint catch and release...so fire up the grill.
  13. Ive watched a bunch of Tyler's hunts and only seen him miss once...i think it's great how excited bill gets when tyler's on a big deer. I agree with yau'll that if i'm going somewhere, i want all the extra information i can get, but ive also never heard him say anything other then "such and such guide said this deer has been doing "insert whatever here"" even when they hunt in GA. I don't know any of the realtree staff personally, and i'm not saying Tyler knows nothing about hunting...kid probley knows more then me just by hearing all the stories, it'd just be nice if they'd let him so it a little bit. But was that not 2 huge bucks tho both killed....ghato mighty.
  14. Yes the rest is fully functional. Followed the DVD to the exact directions. Having really bad consistency problems..one will go right and one will go left, 2 will go right where they need to and then bam it's 8 inches right. Also had a problem with it hitting my thumb and followed the FAQ's on the DVD...didn't help much. FYI, i payed really close attention to my form so i know that wasnt the problem.
  15. That's what I had on mine, but i got a ZE as a christmas present and wanted to try it out. Wanted to have it set up to it's best before i wrote it off.
  16. Anybody else had/having a rough time getting a Zero Effect working right on a Switchback? Followed thd DVD like it said to, followed the FAQ's, and still can't seem to get it right. Whats even worse is there seems to be no consistency to the misses.
  17. I was lucky and started hanging out with friends who bowhunted when i was 13 or 14 and got my first bow that winter with my christmas. I got a Hoyt MagnaTec with 50-60 pound pull, had it for 2 years and then upgraded to my Switchback. I was very lucky to hang out with that crowd because of how good they all are and how many good things i learned which helped me get better much faster then expected. But my best friends brother who's always hanging out with us was 8 then and shooting a compound bow. He hated being the little guy so he was always determined to shoot at whatever yardage we were, so with a 30 pound bow he would back up to 50 yards with us and shoot rainbows at the bag targets. But that helped him get better, at 11 he got a bowtech rascall last fall and i'm pretty sure if he gets his opportunity there's gonna be a brown 4 legged animal on the ground this year.
  18. Ive got my 5 pin trophy ridge set at 20, 30 , 40, 45, and 50 on my Switchback.
  19. Ive got that same case for my Switchback...works great, no complaints.
  20. Switchback29A1

    Arrows

Easton Axis 400's with arrow wraps. Wasp Jak-hammer exp. 100's...gonna be flying out of that mathews.
  21. Can you say "upside the chuck". Nice shot.
  22. Ive always used one, last year I went to a slanted kisser button and that was great, would deffiently suggest using one.
  23. Summit viper...only thing i don't like about it is how easy i go to sleep.
  24. I always spin mine. And whenever i get bored just hanging out the night before or something i'll pick a few out of my quiver and spin them till i'm not bored anymore.
