I agree he should be dialing in with broadheads at 40yds. Out past 35yds your "flys like a fieldpoint" broadhead will almost positively start to show some difference. Mine actually hit about 3" lower at 40. That's ok, it's consistent and I know it. But I doubt these were broadheads on this target. Trying to shoot groups with broadheads can get extremely expensive. If you can afford to do that Swampy I'm a little jealous. I'd love to shoot for groups with broadheads. Me, I do them one or two at a time at different dots on the target.

This link tells you what hole to use to attach the main arm to the riser, what hole to install the rest hook and whether to cross the cables above or below the cable rod on several different kinds of bows. Read this chart for your bow and save yourself TONS of aggrevation! http://muzzy.com/muzzy_help/Zero-Effect/ZE%20Set%20Up%20Chart.pdf Note: The most often ignored spec on this chart is the cable crossing note. On some bows you actually have to switch the side of the rod the cables cross on from standard for the rest to work it's best. Having cables cross on the wrong side makes this rest stutter and wears the heck out of your cables. The guy who installed mine crossed them on the wrong side. Trust me, it's really hard to figure out that's the problem unless you look at this list. When I got new strings the tech tried to cross the cables on the wrong side again because that's the spec for that bow! Luckily I caught it immediately. Hope this saves someone some trouble. And keep it in mind when you get new strings.

The Spartanburg SC serial killer has apparently taken a 5th victim. That's 5 people in six days! I have friends and family up that way hope they catch this guy before he strikes again! Prayers for the families of his victims please.

Install Zone Alarm's Firewall. It's kinda frustrating for some people but if your getting hacked it will log their IP address and stop them cold.

The governorship of Alaska was not a strong enough position for the last election. It should have been but it wasn't and reality says it won't be. I don't know for sure if strengthening her position as a future candidate is what she is up to but I will venture to say she can be a much bigger thorn in the side of the current administration now than as an incumbent governor. The relentless and unprecedented bashing she received after the election may certainly motivate her to seek revenge. I know I would. I don't even begin to think this is the last we've heard of Sarah Palin!

If you want a good quick BBQ Sandwich try Pierce's BBQ. Good eats!

Unless you plan on lugging a tripod around everywhere the Image Stabilization (IS) feature is a must have on a big lense in my opinion. You can save money by getting the lense without IS but on a big lense it really shows it's value. Even pictures taken from a solid rest will improve. Especially on digital cameras it's wise to stick with like branded lenses. The camera is designed to work with those lenses. There are exceptional lenses made by third parties but it's harder to figure out what works and you may actually violate a warranty in some cases by using them.

I talked to him tonight. His computer has hardware issues and fortunately is still under warranty. He is gonna be out awhile. Don't let that stop the fundraising action.

This is a Mandarin Wood Duck from China. Too bad we don't have them to hunt here. Wish I had had a better camera when I took that picture about 20 years ago (yikes!) Of the ducks when can take here, I agree with Alisha, the Harlequin Duck is one I'd sure like to get.

Actually a good suggestion. Shark guts grow huge tomatoes. I used to bury them and dig it up a year later to start the garden. Makes extremely rich black soil. I had to keep the dogs away from it though because they would eat the dirt.

Well the thing closest to my mind right now is surprise my nose! The guitar has been a good and necessary distraction from it. I have found that healing is easier when you don't think about it. Thanks for your concern, it has been getting much easier. Made a little test video. Did a little to clear up the sound from the video camera. I'm not playing perfect I know but this guitar does sound good to me. Right now it's a welcome distraction. http://s431.photobucket.com/albums/qq36/realtree2008/Leo/?action=view¤t=blackguitarsound.flv BTW, they took one of these out of each nostril. They are about the size of a large Florida orange slice.

I'm confident this would be a perfect guitar in Alaska. I actually got out the house on my own some today. It felt good. Mary says "Hi!" BTW.

This guitar is handmade in Lafayette Louisiana, by Composite Acoustics. The body and neck are 100% Carbon Composite. In the past I'd sneered at guitars with composites in them because many of them sounded like cereal boxes with fishing line on them. Ok some of them sound a lot better now and honestly, they were good tough guitars even if they didn't sound all that great. This one they got the sound right on! And it's guaranteed to stay that way. My Cortez (a martin copy) has seen it's last trip. It just isn't gonna take much more travel, it needs to retire and stay home. Like I said I got a great deal on this guitar used and I'm real happy I got it. Here is CAs site. I got the GXI if you click [sound Clip] you'll get a good idea what this thing sounds like. http://www.caguitars.com/Files/Product/Guitars_331/GXi_119.asp

Thanks all for your prayers about my surgery. I feel SO MUCH BETTER!!! Here's some more guitar pictures. This guitar is practically impervious to humidity and temp changes. Perfect for around here. Leave a guitar in a hot car here and it will POP! I'm real happy with this guitar and plan to post a clip of me playing it soon. I found it used but you can't tell it has been.

Uh oh my Miss Piggy nose is gonna get chopped! LOL!

That's a great one! Lots of white on him, real good!

All the ones I'd taken prior to this one were in "moulting" stage (not as pretty). Full Plumage phase shovelers are a lot harder to come by in some areas (especially where I hunted).

It's hard not to want to fight the therapists. About 18 months of it myself I can relate. They make you do stuff that seems so stupid and pointless. It really isn't all stupid and pointless. But that sure is hard to see when you are the one who is supposed to be doing it. The brain is like a muscle too, besides physical therapy he needs occupational therapy. I wish him well.

WAY BETTER!!! But as you might suspect... there have been... ahem... "afterbirths". That's minor, I can deal with that. My nose actually works better now and it's not even finished healing. Didn't realize just how badly restricted it was.

Well the sutures held like they were supposed to so no bad news today! Thank the Lord! They pulled an orange slice sized splint out of each nostril this afternoon. These things were huge! I now know what it feels like to birth fruit nasally! OOOWWW!

Thanks all. I'll tell Mary hi Kathleen.

Just arrived from California in 78deg 63% Humidity. These are just frame grabs from me opening the package and trying it out. I'll take real picts later. This thing is sweet!!! It was still in tune after 5 days in a UPS truck! The guitar was still hot to the touch! I'm impressived!
