Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. I've been in it for 28 yrs. now,and it's been good to be and my family........I'm a part time flex clerk, and my job takes me ALL over the area working! I,too, hope your wife has a good and fair Postmater to work with....that will make ALL the difference at the end of the day May I ask what position she was hired for?? Up here, it is very difficult to get in full time, but I'm still hoping for that someday!! Yes, Popgun is right,if she is in a small office, Saturdays are required, if a larger office, it wil be holidays, but in the end it's all good!! PM me if she has any questions! Good luck to her!!

Re: You gotta be joking......... Here in northern Wisconsin, the temps can be 100 one day, and 60 the next, so we need a VERY flexible wardrobe I saw a woman buying a winter coat the other day @ Wal-Mart, when asked WHY, she said "Gotta pick while the picking is good!!" Guess she has a point!!

Re: Postal question??? 007.........you did the right thing by purchasing Delivery confirmation on the package....it's not insured, but will give you tracking information, which you need right now Go to usps.com and enter that confirmation number and it SHOULD tell you where it's been scanned at......also delivery date and time......5-7 days sounds about right for parcel post from that distance. Good luck, that happens unfortunately, but I'll bet it's been delivered by now??

Yes, there is an address you can write to that will remove your name off hundreds of mailing lists......it really works,as I've written them myself......just don't have that addy at the moment for you...sorry There are people everyday who throw away in our P.O.lobby those "checks" and CC applications without even tearing them up!! We have a sign telling them to be careful what they throw out, but to no avail! Would be hard to have sympathy for them if those "checks"got picked out by the wrong person... Junk mail is on the rise, as telemarketers are always looking for other avenues to reach us! Not exactly what you wanted to hear right?? LOL In the small post office where I work, bulk mail easily accounts for half of all mail we receive daily! Most days, it's more than that!! Anyway, I'll pm you when I get that address you need. Just don't tell the post office!!

Re: Went To The Big Town Today!!!! Sounds like our local Wal-mart here too!! My hubby is not a big shopper, so he goes to the Sporting goods(hunting) dept., and stays put until I'm done with my shopping!! Works great, sure beats searching the store for each other!! Another plus is he usually sees someone he knows, so passes the time chatting it up with people!! Griz, just think of it as the "social" center and it won't seem so bad!!

The strangest comment I can remember concerning Christmas stamps was last year......A young man asked to look at our Christmas selection.....when I showed him the Madonna and child stamp, he asked "Who is she??"

Re: Question on shipping overseas...need help quick JB.....if this isn't too late, I work for USPS....wrapping it in brown paper is fine, be sure to tape it well too!! Many times, customers come in with used boxes that may have contained liquor, chemicals, other things which they deem"hazardous!" You'll have to fill out a customs form and list all the contents inside.....no big deal, just takes a little time!Good luck and expect to pay big bucks to ship it over there!! No problem for you though!! LOL
