Re: Horn Fondling I am busy going through my collection for the little guys to hang on the tree.Wait till you guys see this X-mas tree.Mrs. Sasksheds is going all out this year.We aquired an Artificial tree this year from a freind. We always have a real tree!So this one goes down stairs.Well downstairs is My hunting haven. So nothin doing the tree is going to be an outdoor theme with shed horns, bears, moose, wolves, deer, fish.I'm not exagerating when I say she's bought over 600$ worth of ornaments for the tree.Heres the kicker,we're leaving for B.C. in 2 weeks for the holidays. It will only be up for 2 weeks.I will take pics & post them when it is done.

Re: poaching In one spot I hunt,I post my father up in the truck about 800 yards away on the road.He sits there & watches every night weather I'm there or not.Road hunters know this big buck is there & keep trying to get a crack @ him.The land is all posted & My buddies house & cattle are within 500 meters. So their laim excuse of I can shoot in the ditch doesnt hold up.Esp. with the wardens. My brother works with the Wild life fed here in town & also @ a local hunting store. He over heard these two guys, that he knows fairly well, talking about this buck & this"guy" who sits in the truck @ the end of the road & that they were going shoot the buck.Well my brother tore a strip off of them & by the time he explained that this guy was his father & their would be charges laid against them or anyone else that decided to"POACH" that deer.Yes i said poach because thats what they would have to do to get that deer.Just once I'd like these jerks to think!Maybe the land owner posted his land because he & his buddies are hunting there. The ownly cover we have is some round bails that we sit behind. The road hunters or the deer cant see us from the road.To heck if I want someone shooting into the field while I'm sitting there.Keep @ it!I think my brother got rid of @ least 2 idiots. The traffic actually seemed to drop off a bit after he had his "Talk" with those guys.

Re: Question:::: Lots of farmers or land owners here in Sask. during hunting season wear hunter orange or red coveralls & have a orange or red hat in the truck.Just incase they have to do some work in the bush or field. But here is something that one of my co-workers told me.She & her husband were out banding birds during hunting season & of course were hearing shots. She laughed as she was telling me about everyone they saw driving around was wearing hunter orange. She stopped laughing when I asked how smart she thought she was running around in the bush during hunting season not wearing hunter orange. It is the hunters resposibility 100%,but man,a little common sense goes along way!

Re: Knarly Dude: 13 Point Muley Shed My buddy used to work on a ranch in the Logan Lake area & found a massive fresh muley shed when he was riding one spring.I will see him sat & get a pic of it.They moved to Sask. this year to work on a big ranch here.Nice sheds!Thanx for sharing.I dont know what I'm more excited about now that hunting season is done, ice fishing or shed hunting? When should I start looking for those moose sheds here?Do they shed in Jan-Feb?
