Hey guys I havnt heard much but a bunch of gossip on this "deer hunting" forum.Here in Sask. the bucks are rutting HARD.I have some pics in the Canadian section & I have heard of some even bigger bucks being shot here already this year.I have heard of @ least 2 scoring in around 180.Hopefully one of us Canucks can get a hold of some pics.Good luck & lets see some pics.

My freind Vince shot this nice 6x6 yesterday.The pic doesnt do it justice.He dropped by work this morning & showed it to me.My guess it will go 150ish.It is very typ. & has a good inside spread.I'll let you know what it scores after Saskbucks comes over & scores it.

Re: Comments new Sask deer tags? Here's a tip so the antlers dont get stained or glue on them.Take a kleenex or some toilet paper & rap it around the antler before puting the tag on it.The tag will stick to the tissue & not the horns.You can always trim the tissue after.It works we tried it twice on Sat.

Hey,who agrees that one of the main subjects is missing in the pic posting section? "SHEDS".I figured that I better get on this now before shed hunting season started.What do you think Realtree Admin?Maybe I'll get a hat for the idea.Little much posting the most pics in the catagory!

We went out sat to one of my fav spots for Wt.We got a small wt buck first thing on the drive around.Then we went & did a huge push.I took the 2 boys & we spread out through the hills.It didnt take long & I saw a nice buck running behind a doe towards us.They were going to go by way out of range so I ran over the next few hills but they got by.I sat there hoping that maybe they hung up in one of the bluffs.I kept watching behind me along the river bottom for any sign of them running in the distance.to my surprise I saw him walk out to the river edge & start to cross over to an island.I ran down to the bank & through the fence & layed on my belly.He was out about 450 yards.I raised the crosshairs of my 270 1ft over his back & started the artillery.As i emptied my clip & was reloading I yelled for my friend that I knew was close to start shooting.He fired 3 shots & me 6 more.The buck layed down & expired over 800 yards away in the middle of the river!I stripped my suit & pants off & wore only my suit & rubber boots out to drag him back.I had seen that the water never got to the deers belly as it was walking out there so I knew I would be alright.After a long hard drag back to shore I ran for the warm truck & stripped down to get warm.The other guys drug it the rest of the way to the truck.Eric figured that he had hit it @ least once out of his 3 shots.When we gutted it we found that it was shot through the liver & graised twice.So Eric tagged it.When we skinned it @ home we found that it had been hit @ least 5 times & graised twice.I kind of wondered why it had not run after my first shot & I emptied my clip.I guess I had him dialed in!He might go 140 typ.Nice deer for a 4 point. Re: Loading a deer Dad always has a come along & a ramp.He hooks the come along to the front of the box & winches the deer up the ramp into the back of the truck.

You got it Saskbucks!Be who you want to be,do what you want to do.But do it in the privacy of your own home & dont hurt anybody.Alot of men & women died for us to have the freedom of choice & to be"FREE".Nov. 11 is there to remind us of that.Maybe some people have forgotten!Or maybe just have to get educated!
