  1. Re: tenderloins Inside the deer on both sides of the spine about 1/4 of the way forward of the tail. That's the best way I can think to describe.
  2. Re: BROADHEADS???? what u using [ QUOTE ] I'm trying the Eastman Outfitters™ Tri-Loc Lightning Broadheads. [/ QUOTE ] I tried a couple different Eastman broadheads and didn't really like them. Then I noticed everything they sell is made in China and that put me off even more. I will be using Magnus Stingers this year. I have a few Rocket Ultimate Steels that I liked left over I will use too.
  3. Re: Places you are hunting this season [ QUOTE ] land I lease in sw Missouri and also going to Northeast missouri on the Iowa & Missouri border. I am planning on hunting a piece of public land in Northeast Missouri, any one hunting up in that area that can give me any insight? [/ QUOTE ] I'll be hunting Marion and Lewis counties here in Northeast Missouri. What are you wanting to know?
  4. Re: oh my GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My dialup runs at 26.4Kbps. No high speed for us out here.
  5. Re: \"Stupid!\" ....Firearm stories.... Recently a friend of my nieces was shot through the head with a .44 blackpowder revolver. I think it was at his house and he was showing it to his friends when one of them shot him. He is actually doing surprisingly well and they say he will be back in school for the second semester. My friends dads' .30-30 jammed on him and he was sitting in the drivers seat of the truck trying to unjam it when it went off. The bullet hit the passenger door and hit the window support causing the window to drop and break inside the door. I can't remember who it was but my dad told me someone he knew put his loaded rifle into the truck with the barrel on the floor. Someone it went off and put a hole in his transmission and he was stranded. In both of the truck stories ears were ringing for a while after. I don't think I've done any myself. One more. A female hunter I know and her brother were sighting in their SKS' they hunt with. They set their rifles down and went to check their targets and one of the rifles fired with nobody even near it. Nobody got hit but now they make sure they are pointed in a safe direction AND unloaded when they check targets.

    Let me have it!

Re: Let me have it! Congratulations. I'd say after seven years you probably have most of the bugs worked out of this relationship.
  7. Re: Trail Camera Pictures from this Summer Quadruplets? Man that doe has got to be eating good. I have seen several sets of triplets around here but never quadruplets. That is a very nice buck.
  8. Re: deer tags Two any deer archery tags and one doe tag plus the two fall turkey tags that come with the any deer tags. One any deer firearm and two doe firearm. We can buy as many doe tags as we want but what I have is plenty.

    Hind Sight Inc.

I have owned a CrossFire model sight for about four years now and it is on it's third bow so far. I sent an email to the company and asked if I could get replacement allen head screws for the windage and elevation adjustments and how much it would cost me. They sent me an email back very quickly and asked for my address and said they would send out an upgrade kit at no charge. Apparently they had switched from the screws to wing nuts to tighten the adjustments. I call that good service.
  10. Re: Who sits in a stand all day? I use a ground blind and sit all day on several occasions.
  11. Re: Big Headed Deer Question... It's just the pics. The does head is close to the camera and her mouth is open, both make the head look bigger. On the buck he also has his mouth open some and his face is pointed straight at the camera so the length of his face doesn't show.

    Missouri Deer

Re: Missouri Deer [ QUOTE ] I'm from MO but not in the antler restriction zone. We've always had nice bucks on our place, no surprise to me. [/ QUOTE ] Same here. Glad it is improving in your area though.
  18. Re: Here we go...Problems with Parker Phoenix [ QUOTE ] I would pay very close attention to that string! I had a bowtech do that several years back after a pro shop replaced the string. I noticed the wear and took it back where they replaced the string again. 5 shots later I was in the emergency room with my forearm swelled the size of a football, the bow pretty much exploded at full draw. Turns out when they put the string on they got the cam out of wack and it was cutting into the string. Hutchies, I would not shoot that thing untill the shop proves to me it was fixed. tyshe17 sounds as if he's taking a chance also. [/ QUOTE ] My shop somehow put my string back on my Bowtech wrong and it started to cut it. Luckily I caught it before anything happened.

    IT IS HOT HERE!!!!!!

Re: IT IS HOT HERE!!!!!! It is very hot here too and very dry. We could use a lot of rain here. I have only seen it worse maybe once or twice in my life and they aren't predicting any rain any time even remotely soon.
  20. Re: Thought this was kinda cool - me and doe That's funny. When you are looking away from her to take the pic it looks like she is curious about what you are looking at. She's thinking, "What the heck is that silly guy on the four wheeler looking at? I had a doe about that close to me last night and I had my camera with me but she surprised me by popping up that close so I forgot to take a pic.
  21. Re: Strutlets day at the patterning board............. I tried some turkey loads out of two 20ga shotguns before letting my daughter and niece shoot them. I shot an old pump first and it didn't feel bad at all. But when I shot one out of the NEF Pardner it hit hard, real hard. Worse than my 12 guage pump with turkey loads. I won't do it again. You should try it out for yourself before letting the kids shoot. It would be a shame if it hurt them enough to make them quit.
  22. Re: Some good flats (noodling) Nice fish. Here in Missouri this is the first year it has been legal and my brother and dad went. They got a 14. 24 and 36 pounder. One even bigger one would not cooperate. The biggest fish I have ever seen in person was a 64 pound blue cat.
