Re: Broadhead Recommendations Magnus Stingers and Steel Force heads have always flew very well for me. Even when others wouldn't.

Re: In the words of Nuge \"Thanks all my bloodbroth Welcome to the forums. It was great meeting you and Tiffani and Larry and Greg and well just everybody at the Iowa Deer Classic. If you go to year round on the show does that mean a two disc set of Road Trips rather than the single disc? That would be cool. DVD is the only way I get to see it. I'm too cheap (more like poor) to get a dish.

Re: who hasnt killed a turkey yet? Me. I missed one with my bow (should have took the shotgun) on the very first day of the season. Never had another chance after that.
-
Re: What are you getting new for next year? Elite E-Force bow and an Ameristep Intimidator blind. Them two things are going to cost a bunch.
-
Re: Ameristep Customer Service Hmm, I didn't know they were warrantied. I just went the website and bought new ones when mine broke.

Re: turkey took my arrow I'm using the Gametracker string this year. So far I have shot at one turkey and missed, misjudged yardage. It was easy to find the arrow though, which is nice. Those reflective wraps look like they would be pretty nice too.

Re: crackerized Trykon Don't matter the brand or the cam sytem, if your string or cables stretch it will affect your bows performance. Glad you like your Trykon. I think they are pretty nice bows.

Re: A look at Wages (illegals) I saw on the news where it said the illegals who worked construction were getting paid an average of $10 an hour. My brother was working construction and only getting paid $8 an hour before taxes. It ends up cheaper for the employer to pay the illegals a better hourly wage because they don't give them any benefits, pay taxes or anything else on them.

Re: a lot of new stuff I haven't gotten mine yet. I hope to soon though.

Re: Intelligence Test The only one I missed was the baseball question. I totally didn't think on that one. I hate baseball anyway.

Re: BIG TIME Racoon Problem!!!! I would like to know too please. Around here if you want some sweet corn to eat you almost have pull the ears out of their greedy little paws.

Re: Spray foam to repair Target? Even when the target was new carbons were nearly impossible to pull. That's one of the reasons I shoot aluminums. Maybe some day I'll try out some of the real repair stuff.
-
Re: Spray foam to repair Target? I've used the Great Stuff brand and it worked real good for me. The red can is more dense than the blue can. I usually try to find a hole that I can get the long nozzle all the way to the middle of the target and fill until it starts to push out. Then I do that to every hole I can find. For me the repairs lasted pretty well. Your target will look like crap but who cares. Actually if you do care just use a knife to trim off the excess that squeezed out and find some spray paint that is the same color as your target.

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #1 Called in a BIG old gobbler, and his two buddies, yesterday but he came in behind me. So I get turned around enough to shoot, with my bow, and I think I misjudged the yardage and just shot over his back. Should have taken the shotgun. Went today and never saw or even heard a bird. Rain, windy, and cold. My brother got a jake today though. His first turkey ever and he has hunted them for about fifteen years. He was very unlucky before today. I'm taking a day off then probably back out Thursday.

Re: First Turkey! Good job! It's fun, ain't it?

Re: Kansas call? I don't know but I get mad when I get calls like that on my cell phone. I used a prepaid phone so it burns up my minutes.

Re: Just wondering [ QUOTE ] $2.69 here in Illinois. So what's the reason it's so high now? [/ QUOTE ] They aren't even worried about making excuses why it's so high anymore. They know we will pay it so why waste time making up reasons why anymore.

Re: Is it to early?? My brother said Missouri starts TWO weeks later than last year. Maybe the harvest numbers were higher than they wanted? Oh well. Less hot weather hunting I guess. Now that I look at the conservation department website it doesn't say when the season opens. But from what I can tell it looks like the numbers are down from the 2004 season (which was a record year) so I can see why they might shorten the season. Appparently the unlimited doe tags the last few years really have brought the population down some.

Re: Realtree Turkey Team #1 My niece got a jake on Saturday. My daughter had a chance at a big gobbler on Sunday but he caught her moving the gun around and took off. Later she had a couple come in behind her (she didn't know they were there) and again she was wiggling around and they took off. I'm sure she'll get better at being still. Can't wait until April 24th. I'm still debating on whether to take the bow or shotgun for opening day. Good luck guys.

Re: Just some thoughts Ive been having It's Afghanistan where they are trying to kill the guy for becoming a Christian. I also doubt there will be peace there any time soon but maybe if Iraq turns out pretty good peace will spread.

Re: Attention All Dairy farmers All farmers have been having a hard time. I remember a few years back when pork prices (in stores) went way up but the farmers prices actually went down.

Re: Peanut butter or butter Most of the time it's just butter and syrup, but every once in a while I like a little peanut butter and strawberry jam on my pancakes. Peanut butter on waffles is not the same as peanut butter on pancakes. For waffles it's usually butter and syrup but sometimes you have to add some vanilla ice cream on top.

Re: My first 2006 kill No pass through? How many pounds are you shooting? J/K I assume the arrow stuck in the ground. Good shooting.

Re: weird stuff on my new bow [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Wait wait wait! The string is on upside down! I'll bet the serving that goes all the way to the idler wheel is supposed to be in front of the wheel and wrap around the wheel when you draw it. It looks like the string is served where it runs through the cable slide. That serving is supposed to be on the string where you knock the arrow. I'll bet you could just have somebody press it and flip the string over. I used to work in a pro shop and when I first started, single cam strings confused the heck out of me! Keep us posted. [/ QUOTE ] This is exactly what I was thinking. The string is on upside down. Get it to a shop. This isn't the worst I've seen. Saw a PSE shipped to a dealer with the cam and idler swapped, lol. [/ QUOTE ] PSE made a bow that way on purpose. Storm had a bow that way too.
