Re: TEAM 3 Sorry team, no luck here this weekend. This was our opening gun season. I passed on 2 nice size does waiting for a nice buck but never showed. The temp this week got to 70 degrees both sat & sun. Hunted in a tee shirt both evenings. Im not sure if the rut has went and gone or there not in rut yet. Seen two nice scraps during eailer muzzeloader didnt see any near my stand. I'll try again next weekend, I wish I had more time to scout however. The temp is suppose to drop alot by next weekend and hope it helps.

Re: Guess who\'s got a date..... If you honestly want to find out if shes a real keeper do the following. Take her down to the farm show her were you hunt your stand and all. Maybe a few rubs and scrapes tell her a little about deer hunting and how much you enjoy it. Then see what she has to say. If she looked board or uninterrested might as well leave her in the woods! She'll just bring you down each year during deer season. If she loves the outdoors and hunting Marry her!!! J/K hehehe Have Fun..........

Re: Butchering fees vs doing it yourself... You guys have it made here in lou,ky its $70.00 to $85.00 depending on were you take it. Size doesnt matter. It could be a 50 pound doe or a 200 pound buck and still the same price. Its getting rediclous the prices keep going up here. Thing is when you ride by ther processor place thier packed! I use to cut my own deer a few years back but the last 2 paid. Enough of that I said this year and already did one deer myself. Its plan and simple to me if I had the money to burn on it I would just to save time and its hard to do in the dark depnding on the weather, time of day, resources ect. Myself like to take the $70.00 and buy more camo cloths nice down payment on a new gun ect.. Oh and sorry for the bad spelling here eating deer chilly and going back and forth eating and typing

Question about muzzle loader cleaning
TurkeyHunter replied to EKYhunter's topic in Bluelk's Muzzleloader Room
Re: Question about muzzle loader cleaning Ive just started using "Hoppe's EliteĀ® Black-Powder Solvent" this year and its the best stuff Ive used in 10 years! I picked up a bottle at walmart and they have it at Cabela's too. -
Re: TEAM 3 Good Luck turkeygirl I hope you get him!!
-
Re: WTB..Knight 209 Conversion Kit That would be SWEET! I almost bought one at Cabelas site but figured Id hold off for a few days first. Id like to get it converted over so I can site it in before Dec's muzzleloader hunt. Not sure if anything would change in my shot pattern switching. Any certain reason you took it off your gun? Didnt like it? Thanks!

Re: TEAM 3 Good Luck! Oh and theIntimidators name works for me!
-
Re: TEAM 3 Sweet, thatsa nice size doe too! I love the scraps! Just seeing them gets me all worked UP!! I wonder if Don is going to post the doe he says he killed? Thats 5 more points we could use. I gave up on the team name. Everyone posted names but no one likes each others names I guess. LOL. Does matter to me. hehehe I'd just like to finish in the top 5 in over all teams. That would be cool!

Re: Big non-typical (pics) Everyone says maybe he didnt take the time to find the deer. Maybe he did and couldnt find it plain and simple. I know it sucks! The deer could of went miles before dieing. I like BowtechTurkeyHunter ideal of getting a cape and having it mounted for sure! It would be nicer if there was away to ask around if any ones shot at a big buck around the surrounding farms and if they could describe it maybe give it to the person? Long shot Im sure and would be hard to let go but could you image the look on the hunters face when he seen someone found his deer. I know I would probably jump up and down for joy and thank you 100000 times! Reguardless niec BUCK!!

Re: Browning A bolt I have a browning A-Bolt and bought it new. I have over 10 guns and its by far my favorite gun. Honestly I dont think its heavy at all nore too light. I love the way the gun feels and looks. Shoots GREAT! I have a 3X9X40 scope on mine. Heck I can throw it on a scale at home and give you the weight if youd like with strap even. That should pretty much give you want your asking for with a 30-06 A-Bolt. Mines a few years old so not sure how much the specs have changed on the gun it self or would even matter. Good Luck!
