Re: undertaker h.s. in the 500 mossy I bought a new 12 GA Mossberg 835 Ulti Mag this year before Turky Season and didnt like the stock choke. I then bought the UnderTaker choke tube and seems to pattern much better in my case. At the same time I went to the REM HV Hevi shot and this combo works great for me! Good Luck!

Sorry if this is a stupid questions but being new to turkey hunting are Toms smarter then jakes? Kinda like some people say bigger bucks are smarter then smaller ones or does. Thats why they get so big. So it just made me curious if Toms are smarter birds then lets say Jakes and Hens? Like do Toms get easier spooked pay more attention to there surrounding area? ect.. Re: OK so...How long and how many? I just found it funny that ive been hunting for 20 years Deer,Squirrel,Rabbit,Dove ect... But never ounce thought about Turkey hunting. Im thinking maybe we just didnt have very many bird here in Kentucky till the last few years maybe. I was just curious how long others here have been Turkey Hunting in there state. I still cant get over the rush of Turkey hunting and just watching them strut in the fields! BTW.. Good Luck Addct2hntng!!

I hope this picture shows first off. Next this is my first bird so Im wanting to make sure I do everything right. What you see below do I need to do any more cutting? At this point can I just tack it on a board and add borax to the center meat that's shown? Then wait a few weeks and add it to the mount I bought. id apperciate and advice or tips. Re: 12 GA Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag choke tubse? I called Mossberg and there going to send me a new rear site. Also I was going to buy a new choke tube and the UNDERTAKER" TURKEY CHOKE seem like one in my price range. Can anyone tell me if it should be better then the stock Full Turkey tube? I know the Comp-N-Choke is probably better but want to spend little as possable at this time. I just have to get this thing shooting better by the weekend!! Also I had alot of ticks on me scouting last week can anyone suggest a GOOD spray for ticks!? Thanks!

I went and shot my new Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag this weekend but didnt seem to patten well at all at 30 yards. I tried 2 differant types of shells. Remington Premier Mag 4 shot and Federal Premium 5 shot both 3" Mag shells. When shooting the gun I might of had 2-3 beads in the turkeys neck or head on the target when I did hit in the kill zone. So Im not sure whats going on here and thought about buying a new choke tube? Also the barrel site on the end of the barrel looks to just clip on and when shooting the gun moves alot. Actually moving towards the choke and has to be pushed back aftert shooting each shells because it almost falls off. Im starting to wonder if its the correct one that gos on the gun. Should it have doublesided tape or something, Its actually wider on one end to maybe adjust it left or right? This might be also why its not accurate having to push it back on the barrel after each shot. Im open for any advise on getting this thing shooting more accurate! Thanks!

Ive hunted for 15 years and just last year really fell in love with Turkey Hunting. So this year I bought me a new gun. After I bought the gun a few days later went to buy shells and just so happens I started talking with another Turkey Hunter. He said he also uses a Mossberg 835 and told me not to waste my time using 3-1/2 shells because hes shot very bad but shot 3' shells great. So the question is should I buy 3 1/2 shells or should I just start off with 3" shells and see how the pattern turns out? Is it worth the kick? Grin.... Thanks!
