I build my own cams but I cant build a 35 mm cam for that price. I have built one 35 mm and two digitals so far. I will be back at it after deer season.

Re: New digital cam on sale for 109.97. I dont know who makes it. It doesnt look like any brand that I know of. Looks like it may have some flash bleed problems at night the way the glass covers both the flash and lens.

Re: Going hunting in Texas, any advice. No game ranch but the property borders a ranch on one side of the property with high fences. This is a friend of mine that his company leases each year for there big shot clients. They get to bring family and friends once year for 3 hunting days. I am coming from Ponchatoula Louisiana. I cant wait.

Re: Rancher or Bruin It depends on what you do. If you want to just play get a rancher. If you want to play and pull stumps get a Honda 450es forman. The 2005's are 500 cc. You may outrun me on the road but not on hills or on the trails. Honda makes great bikes. Just for lite hauling and alot of riding get the Honda Rancher AT. This is the 400cc with auto trans. Just my two cents. I have pics of my 450es with a few mods on my website page below. It was in bad shape when I bought it.

I am going to west Texas just south of Sonora hunting from Nov 20-24. Anyone have any tricks from this area that they are willing to tell me about. All I know is to bring rattling antlers but I dont know if it works well in this area. Any help appreciated.

Re: Saw a new digital game cam for only $ 149 today at I just got in a new catalog from Sportsmans guide and it has one in it for 109.97. This is a digital with 3.0 megapixel. It has the cables and software also. I wont try it out because it has no name and I see a flaw just from the pic. There is one glass across from the flash to the lens which will cause flash bleed at night. I will let someone else try it first. I will look at there web site to see if it gives more info.

Re: I REALLY don\'t like porcupines... We dont have them but we have armadillo's. These things will drive you crazy. That is why I have two armadillo arrows on my quiver.

Re: Tree Lounge I had one and sold it. It was the old style. The reasons were what JJWIII said above. I bought 2 Summit Revolutions that was more comfortable easier to pack and made almost no noise. I think they stopped making them this year but most of the summit stands are very comfortable and fairly quiet. I also have an ol-man mutivision that makes no noise and is comfortable with the added foam seat they make for it. The tree lounge would be good if you set it up and put steps up to it. My two cents.

Re: Looking to buy new digital - help with 3 choic That's the right choice Bond build your own. For the price of the others you can build almost two homebrews that would be just as good or better. For the one you have with flash bleed you should be able to seal it better and maybe get a flash enhancer to help the flash range out. The guys at Jessies and Hags will help you through any problems with the new one. Good luck.

Re: Game CAMS I have several friends that have them. One guy bought 10 at one time and sold them to some others around here. He wont do that again. At lease half of them had some issues. You get what you pay for in this case. I have heard alot of bad things about them on different forums also. They are cheap and one of my friends likes his second one after having to return the first one to wal-mart. He said that it does eat batteries and he gets only 60 % of his pics with something in them.

Re: Is it wrong to use dogs to deer hunt with? I think it is only wrong if your are doing it illegally. I dont dog hunt and I dont want them around our lease. But in the swamps down here it is a little different type of hunting. The deer can hear you comming for a long distance and you will never see them so you have to have something to make them move. Also if you have 5000 ac of land then no problem. When you have 200 ac of land and do it you will not keep the dogs on your land. If it is done properly I have no problem with it but it is not for me. I did kill my first 3 deer with dogs 30 something years ago and I can remember that like it was yesturday. It was awsome to here the dogs comming your way just thinking you might see a deer or get a shot. Back then you could go weeks and not see a deer. I was just a kid and I would not trade that experiance for anything.

Re: Game CAMS Dont be afraid to make your own. I knew nothing about electronics and made 3 cams. My two digitals only cost me about $220 each and I didnt skimp on anything. I dont know of any good cams that I would rcommend for 100 dollars. I made my own 35 mm for about 120 dollars and I didnt skimp on it either. It is better than any store bought cam. I have pics on my webshots page below. If you are on a tight budget then the homebrew is the way to go. You can go to the homebrew web sites and they sell some good ones cheap there also. If you dont want that then spend a little extra and get the Leaf River cam.

Re: Did I Make A Mistake? nhhunter, sound like a nightmare. I know of about 12 people now that have them and noone ever had that happen. I have owned 3 and only sold 1 of the old ones to get the mutivision. I have summit stand also and they are good. I have two of the Summit revolution stands.

Re: Did I Make A Mistake? I have both the ol-man mutilvision and the summit Revolution. Both are good stands and I cant say one is better than the other. The olman makes no noise at all while climbing, while the summit make some while climbing. The summit is a bit more comfortable but you can get the ol-man cushion seat and it is just as comfortable. The ol-man is eaisier to back around also. You wont be sorry.
