Re: Biggest bass Nice fish. The biggest largemough i have ever caught was 19 1/2 inches long, didnt have a scale to weigh it. Largest Smallmouth went about 18 inches. Both were released.

Re: Trolling motor help Well i went out and bought one today. I went to Gander Mountain just to see what they had. They had a Minn Kota 30lb for $94. I grabbed the brochure and was looking at it and figured i would go for the 40lb for $139. The salesman went out and looked and came back and told me they didnt have anymore is stock but he had a 54lb motor guide that comes with a battery charger and his manager said that was on sale for $169. Me bein silly and thinking bigger/faster is better i said i would take it. so now i have a 54lb thrust pushing around my boat. I asked my mom what size the boat was because it used to be her dads and it is a 14' aluminum. I will wait a couple more weeks to go get a rod and reel and some bait.

Re: Trolling motor help Cool thanks guys. Looks like i might have to make a run tommorow and get one. Now i have to start looking for some poles. I have a couple wal-mart special spinning combos that work pretty good. I thought about goin to a bait casting rod and reel? any suggestions?

Re: Trolling motor help Thats awesome. How much am i expecting to pay for a trolling motor? We have an old 15 horse in the garage but needs some work. I also want a trolling motor because we have a 2 acre pond we have our boat in now.

Re: Trolling motor help Thanks for the help guys. I want to start getting into fishing pretty good this year. I rarely go out on a boat so i want to start doin that more often. I would be mostly bass fishing in small lakes. I normally fish in rivers about 8-10 times a year.

I am looking to buy a trolling motor for my 12 ft aluminum boat and was wondering what Lbs of thrust would be best.

Re: Fish Finder? My dad used to have one that the signal thing (dont know the word for it lol) that goes in the water, it was a suction cup type deal where you could suction it to the side of the boat near the bottom. Is this how the ones you guys have work?

After not shooting my bow since early january i shot it today. i took it to a pro shop and had a new string put on and a tune up. Just like it was when i first bought it, nice and quiet. i had them set it at 57 lbs and when i first pulled it back i struggled lol. I was suprised how hard it can be if you dont do it in a long time. I shot it about 15 times and it got easier. Right now i am getting 253 fps. My groups at 20 yards are in a 4 inch circle so not too bad.

Re: $30 to put on cables? I just took my bow in and had a new string put on it. They put the string on, put my peep in at the same spot, my kisser button at the same spot, and my knocks and it costs $31 and i also had them tune it and that cost $30. im not sure how them prices compare to someone else.

I am looking for a fish finder. i just have a regular 12 ft aluminum boat that i take on small lakes. i am looking to spend between 100-200 dollars can anyone give me any suggestions?

Re: How Bout\' them pistons Yea with that 5 it will be tough. i forgot about larry hughes. The suns have flown under the radar. All first half of the season all you heard about was the pistons and they made it sound like they have the best record advantage by like 9 games and it was only like 1 or 2. I could be wrong but i just dont think that the suns play defense too good.

Re: Truex get the boot from Stewart?? Kenseth knew it was coming. EVERYONE does that at bristol. Not just bush, i am an Earnhardt fan i dont remember everyone jumping on him like they did kurt. I would have liked to see Gordon actually talk to matt about it and maybe hear an apology, like everyone says at bristol you leave your emotions at the door. Kurt has a bad reputation and thats why everyone is jumping all over him. Earnhardt has done it, gordon has done it, harvick has done it, harvick said he woulda done it if he got close enough. But since it was bush people are all over him. Like it or not thats racing AT BRISTOL. it is a one groove track. Gordon and Spencer were BOTH aggressive physical contact. Should get the same discipline, if not thats special treatment. kenseth could have fell, tripped over someone and hit his head on the cement. I know he didnt but it was a possibility.

Re: Truex get the boot from Stewart?? Slug-- They have punished stewart at daytona for rough driving. If gordon gets nothing out of this crap will hit the fan. I dont want to go back in time but JR gets fine and points for swearing. Gordon shoves someone and could get away with it? To me shoving, hitting or any aggressive physical contact is far worse than cussing. There should be fine and suspension if not suspension take some points away. Some people may say, no points because it was not during the race, well revert back to JR.

Just becasue you are a great driver and 4 time champ does not excuse you to do that. "Actions detrimental to stock car racing" fine and hopefully suspension. Nascar need to be more consistent with the calls. Punk, Watch and Nascar show and you will see the Gordon interview. Why would he say he hit him when he didnt? If you watch the replay Gordon gives the "Bristol Bump". am i mad at the bump? nope just racing. Did Kenseth screw up? yep and he admitted it.

Re: How Bout\' them pistons I am gonna have to go with the pistons as best in the league. The have been to the last 2 championships. Won one. Best Record in the league. I noticed the starters did not play a long time last night like they normally do. Flip is starting to rest them. They have the best starting 5 of anyone in the league. Billups is a real candidate for MVP. Muggs, i believe your Cavs can/are gonna be a force in the playoffs. Lebron is awesome and he just needs some teammates to step up with him like they have been lately. As for the suns, bringing back amare could turn out to hurt them, he is a great player but they could mess up the timing they have got with the other guys. I think the finals will be Pistons and Spurs again.

Jimmy Spencer was sat down a week. granted spencer threw a punch but both was physical contact. Tony Stewart needs to be disclipined too, he crashes someone on purpose, you should not be able to get away with stiff like that.

Re: Truex get the boot from Stewart?? About the Gordon helmet deal, every time i seen a driver after the race he takes hit helmet off inside the car. Why didnt gordon do that? did he know he was gonna go get into an altercation with kenseth and keep it on for safety? who knows. but my point is drivers take their helmets off inside the car from what i have seen.
