  1. Re: Slightly off topic.. How to pop the question? A friend of mine got a HUGE banner made and hung it on the side of a grain trailer pulled by a semi truck. They were sitting around and all of a sudden this semi driven by his friend hits the engine brake pretty bad and blows the air horn. It said Marry Me Amy on the side. Before she could figure out what was going on, he had the ring out infront of everyone and was proposing. That was a killer one! I had this big idea that we both love snow and winter. I was going to propose on the first fluffy snowfall. You know the special kind of snow that you want for Christmas Eve. Well, the snow came and I was away deer hunting with my neighbor. He shot a deer and we had to go home and get a ATV to go get it. By the time we had dressed it, and got it back home it was 1:30 at night and she was in bed. Within the next couple of weeks the suspense was killing me. She was working an evening and came home with me and the dog outside under the yard light. When she asked what I was doing, I told her to come here. All of a sudden it started snowing!!! I couldn't believe it. I asked her right there and got my knee all wet in the snow. I think she still has a picture of my right knee after we calmed down and went inside!
  2. Re: round 2 with the layout Hey Justin. I know what you mean about the warmth of a hunting jacket. Its usually the nicest jacket you own. I know mine is. I wear it quadding and everything.
  3. Re: Faverite Beer? [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I like Budweiser, or Molson Canadian. You want quality? Come try some Canadian beer.... that's quality for ya... [/ QUOTE ] Wait a second, arent you 18? Isnt the drinking age in Canada 19????? LOL, Just playing Shaun [/ QUOTE ] In ontario it is. In manitoba you can drink at the ripe young age of 18! [ QUOTE ] Not preaching, but you would be a lot better off to forget all about beer and alcohol and focus on getting your life plans accomplished. Alcohol is a dead end street that never has EVER made anyone more charming. JMHO. Since I don't drink and never will....I will have to choose based on TV commercials and hands down, bud light is the winner. New [/ QUOTE ] Not all people drink beer to burn their life away. Many drink because they love the taste of it! I love the way it makes a meal so much better. Certain beers are better with different types of food. I rarely drink more than 2 or 3 beer when I do drink them. Nothing better than a cold one after mowing the lawn for 3 hours!
  4. Re: round 2 with the layout So I says to myself, "Self" if this guy is sitting in the middle of an ocean bay or lake in a boat, why does he need camo???? Great picture man. Keep them coming. I love seeing how hunting can be so diverse in methods and quarry.

    Finally!

Re: Finally! Still too much. Don't settle for the price now when it should still be so much less!! But the break is nice. Keep going!
  6. Re: Animal snare and traps. I will be applying for a trap line eventually up North sometime after we move. That way I can build a small cabin the woods way off the beaten path.
  7. Re: Elevator Humor I'll take your word for it. He looks like a big dude. Kinda reminds me of the Toby Keith video where he gets beat up. Toby's big, that guy was bigger.
  8. Re: this afternoons seaduck hunt Wow you got nerves of steel. Do you paddle over to the birds once they go down? Looks very stable in the water. you'd hate to accidently pull the trigger in the boat. *glug glug*.
  9. Re: Faverite Beer? I can't believe none of the Canadian guys mentioned Alexander Keith's. There's not much better out of a tap in a pub or while enjoying a perfectly cooked steak. I am a Labatt's Baby other wise. I like Labatt Blue and Labatt's Lite/Blue Light. Kokanee is also a really good served with pizza or pasta. I tried some American stuff the past weekend. And the Michelob Ultra(something like that) was by far the best.
  10. Re: canadian online hunting stores????? Bass Pro Shops near Toronto in Canada. No Duty. Also Russell Sports in Calgary, Alberta.
  11. Re: Did you clean your room? Take the bed away and throw a flax bale in there. My dad said if I wanted to live like an animal I could. I cleaned up pretty quick!
  12. Re: Advantage Waterfowl Blind Material I bought 6 yards off of E-bay. It comes unhemmed off the roll. I have to run a hem on it soon or it will keep freying. I think it was like 8 bucks!

WG - Gotta love those greenheads this time of year. Next weekend I'll get a few with some curlies, but I won't shoot em all. You can see in the pictures on the website, the difference between drakes coming out of eclipse.

  18. Haven't been around here much. Lots of things going on here. I hope I haven't missed too much. We had a ton of work to do here a couple of weeks ago. A few hour of OT has paid for a brand new set of ATV tires(26" mudlites) for the Honda Rubicon(looks great, have pics at home). Then, there was that wedding thing! Jenn and I were married on October 1st, 2005 after a 5 year dating relationship. It was the best day of my life and man did we have fun. Lots of friends and family to share the day (282 to be exact) and the night went on forever. I even did the "Bird Dance" with all my little cousins. It was great. Jenn was beautiful. I have pictures at home as well. I will post those when I get the chance. Talking about life changes, I have been accepted for a job in Gillam, MB. This town is the end of the road and is near Hudson Bay. 13 hours from here. Its a fairly remote town but the money is good and its a great little community. Jenn and I will be moving in the beginning of December. Life is sure racing lately. Moose and Caribou hunting, here I come!
