Re: busch is leaving Rousch!!! That would have been my guess! I don't know what to do now. I'm a loyal Penske follower but I don't care much for Busch. I'm a big Rusty fan and hate to see him leave the 2 car. Not sure I can handle seeing Kurt in the 2. That will be way too different for me! Eric

Re: What is the largest.... The largest buck I've seen hunting (score wise) is the first picture. I took that last season. Biggest bodied deer is the second pic. I shot that one in 1998. These are VA deer. Small compared to the midwest bruisers! Eric Here is the only other one I have on the wall. My first big deer. I was 17 when I got this one. (1988)

My church softball team just completed our first ever undefeated season. We went 28-0 in the regular season and 4-0 in the league tournament this weekend. This is the first time it's ever happened in our league. It was awesome. We will play a USSSA tournament on the 20th to qualify for the Church Nationals in Rock Hill, SC on the 27th. We won the USSSA church B Nationals in 2003. Hope we can do it again! Eric

Re: Brickyard 400 Wild Card Pics Here you go slug... quotes from Rusty Wallace on NASCAR.com. If the 2 tracks are so different then why would he bring the same car from Pocono? I guess next your going to tell me that Indy has 4 corners and Pocono only has 3! LOL "A perfect example of what I'm talking about is our car selection for this race," Wallace said. "We tested [at Indy] several weeks back and were looking at racing a brand new car. We ran it during the test, but we saw a couple of things that we needed to change to get it where we thought it needed to be. Then, we had our backup car we were looking at taking back to race there. "Once we got up to Pocono and rolled out the car and saw how strong she ran there (started 13th and finished second), we all decided that it was the car we really need at Indy to get the job done. Pocono is a big and flat track and so is Indy. I'm convinced that this is the car we can finally put into Victory Lane at Indy. We'll have that car and the strongest motor we can build out there this weekend. Like I said, we're definitely pulling no stops this time around." Eric

Re: Kenseth & MacMurry I imagine they will work things out eventually. If Jamie makes the chase... he will blow it off I'm sure. I like Kenseth and once Rusty retires... Kenseth will probably be my favorite driver. (I hate to see Rusty go!) I kinda like Jamie too so if they're going to be teammates I hope they get this deal worked out. Eric

Re: Did Kevin VanDam play fair ? I didn't realize he was using something like that. I bet it will be outlawed next year. I know you want to use every advantage you can but I think something like that is a bit extreme. I still think he's the best fisherman out there though! Eric

Re: Brickyard 400 Wild Card Pics No they are not the same Slug but there are SOME similar characteristics. Both have LONG straightaways and flat corners. You would probably be surprised how many teams take their Pocono car to Indy too. Ask Carl Edwards how he learned Pocono when he had never driven on it before! You ever played a NASCAR video game? You would be surprised how realistic the tracks are. BTW... I've driven on the track at Richmond numerous times and can tell you the video game has that track pegged! Eric

Re: Palmeiro suspended for steroid use That's ashame but I expected it. I don't think Canseco was lying. The more we hear the more his testimony seems true. Wonder what that does for Raffies Hall of Fame status? This definately hurts his character. Amazing! Eric

Re: Palmeiro suspended for steroid use Orioles' Palmeiro suspended 10 days for violating steroids policy By RONALD BLUM, AP Sports Writer August 1, 2005 NEW YORK (AP) -- Rafael Palmeiro was suspended 10 days for violating Major League Baseball's steroids policy Monday, nearly five months after the Baltimore Orioles first baseman told Congress that ``I have never used steroids. Period.'' In remarks prepared for a conference call Monday, Palmeiro -- the highest-profile player to fail a test -- said he never intentionally took steroids and could not explain how the drugs got into his body. He also apologized and said would accept his punishment. ``I have never intentionally used steroids. Never. Ever. Period,'' he said. ``Ultimately, although I never intentionally put a banned substance into my body, the independent arbitrator ruled that I had to be suspended under the terms of the program.'' The 40-year-old is the seventh player to test positive for steroids under the policy adopted earlier this year. Palmeiro doubled on July 15 to join Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Eddie Murray as the only players with 3,000 hits and 500 homers. Palmeiro said the arbitrator ``did not find that I used a banned substance intentionally -- in fact, he said he found my testimony to be compelling,'' but still ruled that he needed to serve the suspension. A grievance filed by the players' union against the suspension was denied. Appearing with Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and other baseball stars before a congressional committee on March 17, Palmeiro made an opening statement in which he said: ``Let me start by telling you this: I have never used steroids. Period. I don't know how to say it any more clearly than that. Never.'' Palmeiro was so emphatic in his denial of steroid use that he pointed his index finger at the panel, and expressed indignation over accusations made by former slugger Jose Canseco, who cited Palmeiro as a steroid user in his tell-all book. In an interview on the CBS television show ''60 Minutes,'' Canseco -- who also testified before Congress -- said he had injected Palmeiro with steroids when they were teammates for the Texas Rangers. Government Reform Committee chairman Tom Davis, R-Va., who led the steroids inquiry, was traveling out of the country on Monday and couldn't be reached for comment, spokesman Rob White said. ``If true, this is disheartening news for those of us who believed Mr. Palmeiro was a key ally in our effort to rid sports of performance enhancing drugs,'' White said. On July 7, Palmeiro took part via conference call in a round-table discussion about how to rid sports of steroids with Davis and representatives from the NFL, NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball. Palmeiro was contrite in his comments, and said he hoped there was something to be gained from his suspension by educating players to be more careful about what they put in their bodies. ``I want to apologize to MLB, the Baltimore Orioles organization, my teammates, and most of all, my fans,'' Palmeiro said. ``Given my role with the No Tolerance Committee and my relationships with Congress, I feel the need to communicate a serious message to my fellow players and to kids everywhere.'' Palmeiro played against the White Sox on Sunday night, but began serving his suspension immediately and was not in the lineup for the start of Monday's home game against Chicago. He stands to lose $163,934.42 in salary during the suspension. Orioles owner Peter Angelos expressed support for Palmeiro in remarks prepared for Monday's conference call. ``I am truly saddened by today's events,'' Angelos said. ``I have known Rafael Palmeiro for many years. ... I know from personal experience that his accomplishments are due to hard work and his dedication to the game.'' Associated Press writers David Ginsburg in Baltimore and Howard Fendrich in Washington contributed to this story.

Re: Brickyard 400 Wild Card Pics I've driven on them both on NASCAR 2004 and they are a little similar. Turn 1 at Pocono is totally different. Turn 3 at Pocono is a lot slower than Indy. I guess turn 2 at Pocono is similar. I have a better set up for Indy than Pocono. I smoke em at Indy! Eric
