  1. LOL! Thought maybe Ratatouille would be on the menu!
  2. This bearded hen comes to my food plot almost everyday. Last year she never gave me a clean shot. Anyone else?
  3. The bearded hen that I had in my sights last fall is showing herself in my trail cam pics again. Right now she is at the top of my turkey hit list. I have always wanted to shoot one of these trophies and I will have an arrow in my quiver just for her. For those of you who have shot a bearded hen, how did you preserve your memory? Right now a full mount is out of the question financially but I am looking for other options that I can use to display her in my man cave. If you have any pics that would be great or try to describe for me what you have.
  4. I didn't get a chance to check my facebook page this morning before work. Did anyone hear how his appointment went?
  5. I was reading Sureshot's post in the Lounge this morning and it brought back memories from 2004. Who remembers Chai Vang? If you don't then go here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chai_Vang (scroll down to the section marked shooting) Everyone should know about this. Nothing gets our blood to boil over like catching a tresspasser on our land but we need to keep a cool head. Chai Vang has shown us how things can go bad in a big hurry. Be cool, get identification, and get the game warden. Let's all come safe to our families, no tresspasser is worth our life folks!
  6. You are completely in the right Bret. But if I were you I would keep the law in the loop. Don't lose you head and get yourself in trouble.
  7. Moose meat is awesome. I had a friend give me a steak a while back. Enjoy!
  8. You know Ken, if you really want to hunt with the AR, you could get one of these.. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat602007-cat603462&rid=&indexId=cat603462&navAction=push&masterpathid=&navCount=1&parentType=index&parentId=cat603462&id=0018846
  9. One thing I really miss about central NY is woodchucks and woodchuck hunting. We don't have many of those up here. Thanks for sharing.
  10. I would say bear. I've killed a deer about that big and I have never killed a bear before.
  11. Hey Justin, I saw on facebook that today is your birthday. Hope you and Alisha have a great day today! :happybday:
  12. 7 more days till my season opens. I cannot wait to grab my bow and head out back! I would like a sig but I cannot make them either.
  13. I know this isn't hunting related but it would make my daughter very happy. I need a mouse or a mouse ball for my MacIntosh Classic II. It uses an Apple Desktop Bus Mouse. I have a Bus Mouse but the mouse ball is missing I will take either. If anyone has a mouse like this or the ball that goes with it please shoot me a PM and we can work out a deal.
  14. I don't want any gay arrows in my quiver. :taped: All jokes aside. I've been asking around about the new CX Mayhem arrows. One response got me thinking. A fellow said "I would never pay that much for an arrow with a .0035 arrow straightness." So would you please school this rookie on how important arrow straightness is? Thanks
  15. I don't have to put a dog down but I was thinking about my 10 year old goldie and thought this might make for interesting chat. Just so you know, spending $80 is not that easy in NY. If you bring a dog or cat in to be put down you have to pay for cremation. You cannot just take your pet home and bury it.
  16. People will buy it to say they have it. Must be doinker envy. :taped:
  17. Congratulations! That is a super buck!
