    I won.....

BEST IN SHOW! :drink: Sorry for the late report but the celebration went well into the night and I was in no condition to post pictures. My Blueberry wine won a bronze medal and my Diamond (a native NY grape) won double gold and Best in Show! This is the highest honor a wine can receive at the State Fair. I am on cloud nine today to say the least. Here are a couple pictures, I have more posted on my FB page. Thank you Dan and Ruth for the well wishes. If any of you get to the NYS Fair, my name is displayed in the Horticulture Building.
  2. Today is the big day! In a little while the family are heading out to the New York State Fair. At noon they will be announcing the winners of the Amateur Wine Competition. I have 4 bottles entered this year and I hope a few of them medal. Please wish me luck. If you are at the Fair today, text me or send a message on my wifes FB page, I will have some pinot noir for sampling.
  3. I like the name of the show but from what I've seen it looks like just another hunting show. If it does make it to airtime in the states I hope you have something different to offer then the same old thing.
  4. My condolences on the loss of your friend and hunting buddy.
  5. Dog Wardens are usually a county job so there should be one you can call. If not the sheriff should be of some help.
  6. I grow the stuff. Chris the Gardening Guru has it covered. I usually dig it up and put back the tops with a few inches of root. MAKE SURE you grind it up out ondoors or in the garage! We grind our on a nice day out on the deck. It can be pretty potent stuff.
  7. LOL! I love it how kids like Ethan think the world of football all started with the first Super Bowl. I hear this all the time at school. Like Chris, I think Brett is going to come back and get hurt real bad. Remember he cannot take pain killers like you and I because of his one time addiction to them. He is already hurt now with a bad ankle. Now add on the feud with his coach (fueled by Brett's ego) and you have the makings of a ho-hum season. I see the Pack winning the north this year if their defense can stay strong.
  8. Howdy all. I have been put in charge of purchasing a new clothes washer for my parish Priest. Its been 10 years since I have done any shopping for one of these so I have no idea what good or bad right now. Could please give me some good and bad feedback about different models that you have experienced? Any reliability and customer service issues you may have had would also be great. Thanks Joe
  9. Don't forget that we cannot upload pics to our albums anymore Chris. We get an invalid file message.
  10. Too bad. When you finally get off the couch you will find that they do fly like field tips. Slick Tricks are awesome!
  11. I believe it is advertising. Take the Rage broadhead for example. How many big name outdoor celebrities are in that commercial? A dozen or so? How much does each of them get paid to endorse their product? I bet if we actually knew, it would be scary. Remember those Block Party commericials for The Block targets when everyone is standing around and David Blanton squirts the ketchup? How can anyone afford these products with that many celebs on the payroll?
  12. Hope all went well Joe!
  13. Congratulations Jeremie and to the rest of the 10 year olds. You have been a valuable asset to these forums.
  14. Thanks for sharing! My high score was a 59.
  15. Hard to pick just one, but I really like my .50 T/C Renegade.
  16. My Weapon of Venison Distruction! :cool2: I am now a member of Hoyt Nation with my 2010 Turbohawk. What a sweet little bow she is. I cannot get over how lightweight and fast this little baby is. Special thanks goes out to Tyler. He was gracious enough to let me try his and I was hooked. Thanks again pal.

  18. Great answer Jeremie & Chris! A year or so ago we were all ready to lynch Jim Zumbo but not one word was said when he took Dakota hunting two weeks ago. Ted got his hand slapped and paid fine, let's move on. As for baiting, they all do it. Watch most shows (even here on RT) where they are hunting in Sask. and 95% of them are hunting over a bale of hay. Just this morning I saw Ralph & Vicky hunting Old Mexico and there was something scattered on the ground (probably corn). It's no big deal to me that some of them bait but at times it's not as entertaining. I laugh at the anti bait people. It's ok to legally bait a bear, antelope, hog, coyotes, and a bunch of Africa critters, but if we drop one kernal of corn for deer then hang someone on the cross. My co-worker plants a small crop of corn then sits in a blind overlooking it. Then he is quick to condem someone who dumps a bag of corn on the ground. ITS THE SAME THING!
  19. NYC loves Obama. America has a short memory. Come 2012 he will give the NC Lib's something to make them warm and happy and all will be forgiven. Now remember people, NYC does not speak for upstate NY.
