Howdy All, Our rifle season opens tomorrow and my truck is packed to go to hunting camp. However the clock on the wall here at work seems to know where I am going and is moving verrrrry slow. If this thing doesn't speed up soon I'm going to scream!!! I want out of this place NOW! Can any of you sympathize? Ranger

Re: Donuts with Daddy..... This past saturday I harvested a doe for some camp meat. I radioed my buddies to tell them the news that I had a deer down. All of sudden I hear on the radio "Good shot Daddy". Once I dragged the deer in my wife asked me why I didn't respond. I told her I couldn't, I was crying. I know EXACTLY how you feel! Ranger

Re: Cleaning????? I shoot Pyrodex (made by by Hodgdon) in my T/C Renegade. So far I found the best for cleaning Pyrodex is the one made by Hodgdon just for Pyrodex. It was called Pyrodex EZ Clean. It is now called Knight EZ Clean. I have tried a few and I have found nothing so far that works as well. I am curious about Windex after reading this thread and may give it a try. But I do love the EZ Clean. Ranger

Re: If unfired, how long can you leave a charge in? My Dad left a load in at the end of the season a few years ago. Months later he went target shooting with friends and went to pop a cap like most of do before we shoot. BOOM! He almost shot someone. He was VERY embarassed. Have you tried a T/C silent discharger. It empties the gun with VERY little mess to clean up. I would not go out without mine. Ranger

Re: Got a new smoker! Get the High Mountain jerky mixes and a jerky shooter. It is BY FAR the best jerky I have ever had. The smoker is great because you don't stink up the house like when you make jerky in the oven. Give it a try! Ranger

Re: What Would You Do????? I once told a Warden that I had a dead hawk in my freezer. His response was "I didn't hear you say that". I wound up giving it to a local college which had environmental studies. They were EXTREMELY appreciative. Another time I turned in a dead redtail hawk to the DEC. It had a band and I got a neat certificate in the mail telling me about the history of the 25 year old hawk. You should tell someone but be careful WHO you tell. Ranger

What brought me here was a question I had about the bobblehead buck. The warm welcome I got from you and NYbuck is what has kept me here. I have no reason to go elsewhere because someone always has an answer to my questions. Why leave when you have a good thing? Ranger
