  1. You bet, I'm pulling for Tony hoping he wins the championship this year. Next year I'll be curious to see what he can do in a Toyota, but that will be the end of it. I'm a Chevy guy always will be who know maybe Jeff Gordon may be my next hero.
  2. Granted Toyotas are made here but their headquarters is still in Japan. My gripe is their profits head back to Japan. I know too well about foriegn components in American Cars. I've worked for GM for over 35 years. I've seen the evolution of foreign made components coming into the plant. Believe me I don't like it but, what am I going to do about it. Seems like the whole auto industry took a dump when the bean counters took over the corporations from Manufacturing and Engineering people. Now the biggest concern is the bottom line. Profits!!! I own 3 Pontiacs and a GMC right now. I plan on buying a new Pontiac Torrent GXP when the new model comes out. Why haven't I bought a Torrent already? Easy to answer I refuse to buy a vehichle with an engine built in China. Not because its a bad engine, because that engine used to be made at the plant I work at. The motor that replaced it was suppose to the motor used in the Equinox and Torrent. Guess what the bean counters got their way and that went by the wayside. I guess the bottom line buy and like what you want. They are all in cahoots with one another. Globalization and joint ventures who knows half the parts in a Toyota could be GM and vice-versa. Remember the Corolla/Geo Prism. Geo Trackers/Suzuki Samurai early stages of joint ventures and you'll probably see more in the future. I don't hold a grudge against anybody for they drive. but I had a neighbor flaunting his two new Toyotas a couple months ago. "He said your a car guy how come you haven't come over to see my new cars?" I said "because they're Toyotas". By the way we still talk to one another I just had to make my point. The part that makes me feel good is he has had a loaner in his driveway several times while his Toyotas were in the shop. He! He! He! By the way how do i get the smileys come up in my posts they haven't worked in a while
  3. Sorry for getting on you about the spelling. I read your site there and it tells me what I already know. I know they are assembled in the USA. The Toyota website states that they are assembled using many US made parts. That to me does not constitute a 100% US built automobile. Granted GM Ford And Chrysler are buying parts offshore. Thats a shame too. Globalization of the industry. I shouldn't say is the problem, but its the only way to survive. Maybe its not such a bad thing giving Toyota more exposure like Nascar. Get more of them on the road and have all their devoted followers see that these new American Made Toyotas are no better than GM, Ford or Chrysler. They are machines assembled by the American Auto Workers (humans). When one of the big 3 have a recall its plastered all over the newspaper. When Toyota has one it gets a little section in the corner. The media has been pumping up these Japanese cars for years, lets get them on the road and let them burst their own bubbles. Oh by the way the Google search page was not a mistake . It never dawn on me that the link would not be highlighted on your computer my mistake. Sorry
  4. Now if you can read better than you can spell. Camery (CAMRY) and Tohcoma (TACOMA). Check out the website below and check out what it says. Thats the site I got my information from. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4DKUS_enUS223US223&q=toyota+usa
  5. Now as far as Toyota being 100% American. Not true. Read the page below right off Toyotas website. At Toyota, we view building vehicles as a community project. We invite you to learn about where the thousands of Americans who make up Toyota live and work. Not only the individuals who sell Toyota and Lexus vehicles, but those who design, test, and manufacture our vehicles and components using many U.S. sourced parts. http://www.toyota.com/about/operations/index.html?s_van=GM_TN_ABOUT_OPERATIONS
  6. I hope thats the case I'd rather see him racing Go-Carts than Toyotas.
  7. Seems like Kyle Busch let the cat out of the bag saying Gibbs Racing is switching to Toyota next year. I think its a shame. I hope I can root my boy Tony into another championship this year in a Chevy. Because next year if he's driving a Toyota the old razor blade scraper come out and the # 20 Home Depot sticker comes off the the back window of my truck real fast. From Pontiac to Chevy I had no problem, but Toyota. No Way!! http://www.nascar.com/2007/news/headlines/cup/08/31/kybusch.dhamlin.tstewart.gibbs.toyota/index.html
  8. My dog speaks too. She also sits and stays. Can't wait till they sentence him to some jail time then he'll learn to sit and stay too.
  9. I've never tried the EZ tip extractor, but I hear they are pretty fragile and break real easy. I took my extractor out and left it out three years ago. I have no trouble whatsoever removing the spent primers with my fingers. My opinion would be if it don't fit the slot thats a great reason to take it back and get a refund. Try using your gun with no extractor at all and see how it works for you.
  10. Just trying to give the guy a little credit for a good race and win. I should have known there would be anti Stewart fans out there that would try to find something to discredit him. Thats my point!
  11. I like the idea but I don't think they will let him back into Columbia. Something about a fight with Juan Valdez and Mrs Olsen over coffee beans.
  12. What relevence does your question have pertaining to his win at the Glen. Sorry I missed the comment he made. Just remember what these guys are paid to do win races not fights. Guess he did his job Sunday.
  13. How about a congrats for Tony Stewart for another impressive race and win at Watkins Glen.
  14. I'm glad he finally got 756. Now I don't have to listen to all the hype and counntdown BS on the sports channels anymore.
  15. Yea a Canadian event would be great for NASCAR. Then all the loonies that run NASCAR will be paid in loonies
  16. I've seen this happen last fall at the rifle range. Same setup an Encore with Weaver base and ring topped with a Leupold VXII. I have 2 Bushnells and a Sightron on my Encore barrels. No problems> It must be a Leupold thing.
  17. Beans and wild rice higher octane. The pole is a good showing for Toyota, but lets see where he is after 10 laps or so.
  18. I was watching CNN his afternoon. The caption was This Buds not for you Jr. Sony is going to be the sponsor on Earnhardt Jr's new Hendricks car. Seems kind of hard to believe, but Nascar is more of a business than a sport these days. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/racing/06/22/earnhardt.sony2.ap/index.html
  19. Just because he'going to drive for Hendricks doesn't mean he's automatically going to wind up in the winners circle. Cars have to be driven there, I'm not a big Jr. fan but I wish him well and hope he can race up to the glory of the Earnhardt name, not just ride on it.
  20. Busch sideswiping Stewart in his pit stall was definitely uncalled for, he should be suspended for a few races for that stupid stunt. Its a good thing Stewarts crewmember was alert enough to get out of the way. As stated before "MORON".
  21. Congrats to Truex Jr. Good to see a new face in victory lane. As far as Kurt Busch goes VH you were kind by calling him a "MORON". They won't let me post how I feel about him. If I did I'd get censored anyway. MORON will have to do.
