and man am I pumped. It was an awesome day too, saw several deer but they didn't get close enough. Well to start off the night I did miss out on a 6 pt buck, my fault. As we were walking in to the stands we saw him in a field we were about to walk into. Well I got down as close as I probably could (10 yards) and he was bedded down and as he was getting up I had just squated down and couldn't get back up to pull back the bow in time and before I knew it he was already looking straight at me. He snorted a few times and walked on. Anyway so we go to our stands and all I could think about is how I should have been ready for that buck, then after about 2 hrs I see a buck coming in the field on a mission. He was after a couple does that were in the woods behind me so he chases one of them around a while and never gets close enough for a shot and walks away. A little later here come one of the does and comes walking straight towards me! She was headed directly under my stand so I drew back and she got about 10 yards away and stopped giving me the open shot. I was soooo pumped! I wanted to wait for the buck but it was already getting dark, and he didn't seem to be after this doe. Anyway just wanted to share my hunt with you all. Couldn't wait to get home and tell everyone!

LOL [/ QUOTE ] watch the bass pro shops and cabelas in your area, they make visits every now and then. i met michael in wheeling WV this past august. he's a pretty down to earth guy, talked to us for a bit, and got pics and autographs. you could tell he was numb to people by the time we got to him, but Tim Andrus (teamrlthunter) got buckbuster11 and i behind the booth and we had a good bull session. they're really a pretty good bunch of guys. Re: have u I went hunting with my dad a few times for phesant but when I got older I got into hot rods and racing and started fiddling with cars so I didn't get back into it until I met my husband a few years ago. He took me out hunting and that was it, I was hooked again!

Re: Sad news I too know how you are feeling, as I lost my grandpa last year. My prayers are with you and your family. The one thing you won't lose are the wonderful memories you had with him.
