  6. Re: First Archery Deer!!!! congrats man! my first bowkill was like that too. shot a spike a liitle far back. trailed him up jumped him before i could get a shot. trailed him up again hit him a second time. ran off again found him bedded, head still up, guess the adrenaline was working for him, neck shot him and put him down. poor thing looked like a porcupine. made me shoot alot harder after that one!
  7. Re: Oneida man scores!! good job oneida!
  8. Re: Old Browning bullfrog, i have one like that, my serial # is 90822. i bought it at a gunshow a few years ago for 275.00. it had an aftermarket synthetic stock and forened on it which decreased the value. blueing is in pretty rough shape too. best i remember, it was manufactured sometime between 1903 and 1930's.
  9. Re: Reatree vs. Mossy Oak i wear some of all of it! i support everyone!
  10. Re: GOT ONE great job!! congrats!

  12. Re: Cumberland County lost a good Deputy yesterday. wonder if charges will be brought against those who were fighting?? they set in motion a chain of events that led to this officers death. should they be charged??
  13. Re: TEAM 17 hey guys! looks like i got lucky and got on a loaded team!!! my name is mark shatley, but everyone calls me SHAT. i am 32, firefighter/emt. went this morning for a couple hrs, but had to be at work by 9am. saw no deer, but i got several nice bucks on my cam. 8pt is the predominant gene where i hunt, we rarely kill a 10, but i should be able to help some!! if any of you guys have some good pics, post them on here so we can see what we might make points with. "buckwhackers", "whitetail smackdown" "deerslayers" "the dream team" they can call us anything they want, as long as they dont call us for second place!!! SHAT...
  14. Re: same buck no its not a trick question. they were consecutive pics on the card. i may just be wishful thinking, but it kinda looks like the one on the bottom has 5 on that side. i am pretty sure it is two different deer though.
  15. should i use coon cover scent?? maybe coon decoys??
  16. Re: savage smokeless? nevermind, called savage, they told me the origional 10ml used them and the 10mlII doesnt. thanks anyway!!
  17. Re: savage smokeless? well, dad bought the savage, and i have a question. there was a package in the box that had 2 "percussion modules" in it. it said they needed to be replaced if you noticed soot forming on the tips, or if accuracy deterirorated. what is it and where is it???? i dont see it on the breakdown, and cant figure where it goes. any clues???
  18. Re: WATERFOWL HUNT FOR DEER OR HOG matt, what part of AR are you in? camden here. got some pretty nice bucks on my place, how big are ya looking for? cant promise anything, but i take nice bucks every year. just on one 80 acre tract i live on, and a neighboring 80, 2 eights around 16" a nine and a ten around 14" were taken. i personally wouldnt have shot the 9 or 10 before this year, but i wasnt behind the trigger!! had game pics of about 5 or 6 bucks last year that could be shooters this year. holla back if you are interested.
  19. Re: WHICH SEMI -AUTO??? which one do you think i would recommend????? BrowninG, the best there is.....
  20. Re: First deer lol, wasnt trying to imply anything, but i was serious, that is some accomplishment. some of my family turkey hunt up around custer in the black hills .they just rave about all the deer up there. so one of them gets drawn for a deer tag and stays snowed in at the hotel for 4 days. finally caught a break in the weather, and he headed south!!!
  21. Re: my new website cool site. i was your 2nd visitor on the counter on the homepage, shouldnt that win some kind of hunting trip or something???? just kidding. i hunted south IL a few years back. we were around stonefort/mckormick, in the shawnee natl forest. really beautiful country up there. wish i had known then what i know now about deer.(i was only 20, gosh its ben 12 years!!!) i accidently left my limb saw at the base of a tree up there, and swore one day i would go back for it!!! good luck!
  22. Re: This week\'s Muzzy Moment i saw that once as a kid, was a little 3 point. his forked side was broken over and hanging out sideways. a small piece, bout the size of a quarter was broke out of his skull. best i remember he was otherwise healthy.
  23. Re: That\'s It I\'ve Had It !!!! vermonthunter, i shoot a browning abolt 300win mag with a boss. the boss is a ballistic optimizer, meaning you can tune the gun to any load, but it is also a muzzle brake. it has comparable recoil to my old carbine pump 243. my wife shoots it, and given an opportunity, i would let my 7 year old shoot it too. the only problem, is it is LOUD!!!!
