  1. You won't regret it, like I said buy 6 or 9 of them, that way you always have some to use if you need to send any back, you won't have to buy another broadhead as long as you live as they will replace your broadheads for free all you do is pay for the shipping to get them there...(a far cry less than dropping $30.00 or more for new broadheads just because you bent/broke/dulled a head)...doesn't matter if you shoot it into a rock, send it back and Magnus will replace it for FREE, no questions asked! You can't beat that deal!! ~ Van
  2. Taking the bow out tonight, and taking tomorrow off to hunt all day trying to fill my last private land shotgun tag...8 more days till the ML season begins, then it's back in pursuit of the big 12!! Keep them points coming team, Good Luck to all! ~ Van
  3. Just call em' like I see em'!! ~ Van
  4. Magnus Stingers....lifetime guarantee, if you bend, break, or you just need the blades sharpened, you send them back to Magnus and they will replace the entire broadhead...all you do is pay for the shipping one way back to them...you'll NEVER have to pay for another broadhead as long as you live...just pay for the shipping to return them and get brand new replacements. They will not upgrade, they will only replace the heads with the ones they receive, i.e. 85 gr for 85 gr. etc.... They fly like field points and will put a hurting on a deer! ~ Van
  5. So much for Smack talk!! lol. I know there is still a lot of season to go, but...looking at the scoreboard at the moment, it's not looking good for team 21....just sayin'!! Thankfully this is all just for fun, oh and braggin rights! lol. ~ Van
  6. Sweet!!! Congrats...that should put us in the lead!!! Great job team!! ~ Van
  7. scouting/topo's etc..... Here is the program I use to do some scouting, you can use the tabs at the top to select different types of maps, and you can also pan and zoom as well, and if you select the topo tab at the top, you can zoom, and print topo maps for FREE! http://mapper.acme.com/ ~ Van
  8. Another trick is to take the licking branch/branches from an active scrape and then attach it (using tie wraps) over a mock scrape that you've set up to lure/stop a deer within shooting distance of your trees tand in a different area.
  9. Here is the Connecticut State Land 8 point I took on 11/25/09, this buck has a 17" inside spread, and was approx. 175 lbs dressed.

  11. I just posted pics of my Connecticut State Land 8 pointer that I took tonight!!! 17" inside spread on it...that should help our cause, and put us pretty close into the lead!! ~ Van
  12. Connecticut BBD.... CTBowMan Team 12 Brotherhood of the Bloodtrailers 8 Pointer (Upgrade) Taken 11/24/09 Connecticut State Land/Shotgun
  13. Awesome job!!! Congrats all, I smoked another doe on Sat, and could of taken a yearling, but let it walk...I'm still looking for something to submit for an upgrade. I think our rut here in CT is winding down, which should mean that those bucks should be up looking for food to regain their strength from the rut....I've got until Dec 31st, still optimistic that I can put one down with some points on it for an upgrade!!! ~ Van
  14. Congrats Brad, everyone keep at it...there is still plenty of time for us to make our push!!
  15. Here is another link that goes a little more in depth... http://news.dnr.state.mn.us/index.php/2009/11/12/trophy-buck-illegally-shot-in-goodhue-county/
  16. Performed some management yesterday afternoon, I was able to take a nice doe for the freezer, but it wouldn't of been an upgrade, so I didn't bother posting up any pics. Last Sat. afternoon, was amazing though, I saw a huge 12 pointer that was locked on a doe, and wouldn't leave her...but now that I know he's there, I'm hoping he makes it through the shotgun season so I can get a crack at him during the ML season! Best of luck all! ~ Van
  17. Congrats Kirk!!! The weather here hasn't been the greatest, got a nice wide 8 on my trail cam, and found last years shed while hunting near that spot on Monday, sooooo now it's just a matter of getting him in there during the daytime, and sealing the deal! The rut will be here soon! The next 2 weeks should be an amazing time to be in the woods!! ~ Van
  18. We're on the scoreboard I double lunged a button buck tonight!! Looking forward to upgrading but at least we're on the board and it's a start! http://www.realtree.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1124051&postcount=25 ~ Van

  20. It's been frustrating this year so far in Connecticut....a ton of acorns on the ground, the deer don't have to move much for their food...looks like until we get a hard frost, and the rut hits that it will be pure luck to put one down...I'm still giving it my all, as much as I can around my work, and home schedule, still a lot of time, but it is frustrating. ~ Van
  21. Went out this evening, Came to full draw, and had 2 does come in just like I drew it up, with the exception of getting busted!!! I'll be back at it later in the week, but it was a good hunt none-the-less! Best of luck to everyone! ~ Van
  22. Heading out tomorrow afternoon, it's supposed to be warm...in the 70's but I'm confident in my spot..they should come down from the bedding area, to the plateau wtih a spring running through it on the way down to the corn field...should put em' down tomorrow evening if luck is with me, and they are where I'm expecting em! Best of luck to all who's opener is tomorrow! ~ Van
  23. Going out to check my Cam today...and then opening day on Tues...I'm ready to put em down! ~ Van
