Still seeing lots of geese up here. Had our last hunt last week and scored a dozen Canadas. Season is over now. Ron

Migration

We`ve had two good shoots then things went down hill after that. Weather is way too warm right now and most geese are still up north. No snow and double digit weather plus most fields have been planted in beans des not help. Ron
3. Yup, 8 daily and 16 possession. No limit on Snows. These two pics were from part of our annual northern trip.
4. We`re seeing lots up here. Shot a few too. Going duck hunting up north this week for three days. Ron
5. This is the recipe I used . I just substituted moose for the beef. Google this..... [h=1]President Ford's Braised Eye Round Steak[/h] Ron

12. That smile says it all. Congrats to both of you. Ron
13. I am seeing lots of geese but still not the real large numbers yet. Ron
14. We`re doing better, having trouble posting pics lately though. Still haven`t seen the majority of the migration yet, just too warm still. Was 17c with blue skies and no wind last few days. Ron
15. Well, I missed this post so I`m a little late. I worked that day but the next day wife, son, and I went to our friends place. Other friends there also. Had a BBQ-ed rotisserie turkey with all the trimmings. Was a very enjoyable evening. Ron
16. Finally! Wasn`t too bad of a day considering the weather still being quite warm and sunny. To make up for a few unlucky hunts so far, we shot six geese with me bagging a double and then a triple. Maybe things are finally turning for us. + Ron
17. Another bust today. Clear blue skies, 78F weather, and 60mph winds. We got into a one half cut wheat field but the geese did`nt cooperate. Loosing our quad off the trailer on the highway did not help either. At least no one was hurt and surprisingly, no damage done. It was cause for excitement though. Ron
18. It started Sept 1st. Not much around right now. No "early"seasons up here. Bad weather, either heat or severe lightning storms plus work still have me on hold for now. I have noticed after some scouting that a lot of the fields we have hunted are now producing beans....seems to be the money crop these days. Ron
19. My hunting partners ( 8 of us) and I all use Winchester X, 3", #3s for all applications. Bin using these for years and have never had a problem. We buy them by the case and they work great for us. Ron
20. Did not go as it is 86f out with no wind. Supposed to be like this all week. Stay tuned.... Ron

Got another month to six weeks yet. Had a late spring and a blizzard May long weekend. Will post pics when things are looking better. Ron
24. I`ve been working 12 hr shift work for 11 years. Four on, four off. Two days then two nights. This rotates every six weeks. I like it especially when it comes to taking holidays as you can book four off and it actually works out to 12 days off. We do not like working days in the middle of the week as all the big wigs are around and they can be a pain. Ron
