Re: Birds still hot in okla. our seaslon in here in GA ended monday. the birds were fired up sat morning. i called a longbeard in for my brother and he ends up missing him!! my season was better towards the end than in the earlier part of the seaosn. the birds are still gobbling good!

Re: Team Broadheads-N-Bullets well guys my season has came to an end. i had one of my best seasons by far!! i wound up getting four deer and three with my bow! it has been a blast competing in the contest with you all. sorry y'all havent hear from me in the last month or so. work gets in the way of everything.til next time---JAke

Re: TEAM 5 well guys i got another one tuesday night!! saw four does and got one. bucks are starting to puch does here. yesrtday mornign i took my dad and her got a small buck with only one side and then a doe came out right after my dad had drug the deer out of the brair and starts licking the blood. she then came on my side of the pecan orchard and i missed at about 150 yards. i didnt even take my time on her!! i totally snatched the trigger!! but ohh well i'll have more chances hopefully. i hope to thin the herd out more and give the meat away to needy families. we have way too many does here!! but anway i need to run. i'll stay in touch. and lets keep it going!!!-- til next time gone hunting---Jake

Re: chokes i used patternmaster last year but thought it was a little tight for me. i have a kicks highflyer now in a mod. i'll try that this year. hopefully it'll perform alittle betetr that the patternmaster for me.

Re: Monkey is FINALLY off my back!! Big buck Down! i shot him with a matthews legacy! pulling prolly 65lbs and shooting 5575 goldtips with 100 gr. 3 blade muzzys. my first pass through on a deer and them muzzys ARE bad to the bone.

Yesterday afternoon i went hunting with my cousin and a friend. my cosuin put me in a stand the over looked some persimons in a foodplot that hasnot been planted yet due to the lack of rain here. wel at about 6:40 i start to hear a bunch of squirrels barking. i look over my left shoulder expecting deer to come from behind me and there was nothing. as i turned my head to look straigh ahead i see through some limbs and vines a big deer working the edge of some planted pines about 80 yards in front. the deer slowly lifts its head and i see HORNS! WHOOAA big buck big buck!! he slowly enter the field and checks one persimon tree and very slowly works my way. he comes to a place where my cousin and freind walk me to the stand and keeps right on going not even picking up our sent. he comes down to me within 15 yards and i give him a BAA he stops broadside and WHAPPPP!! I smoke him!! he runs about 100- 125 yards and i find him in the planted pines!!! he is my biggest buck ever and my second deer with a bow. i finally got to see what a MUZZY broadhead will do to a deer!! it was AWESOME!! what a rush!! i'll email pictures to an admin so thay can put them on here for my team cause i just dont get this computers and all the technology!!

Re: TEAM 5 well hello fellas!! what about the Lung Busters as a team name!! i thought about that name after i shot my buck yesterday afternoon. well i finnally got the monkey off my back! yesterday afternoon i went hunting with my cousin and a friend. my cousin puts me in a lock on stand that is on the edge of a field with some persiommon trees in it thata re dropping pretty good. At about 6:40 i look across the field about see a deer working the edge of the field just inside some planted pines. he then checks one of the persiommon trees and then crosses the field to where i was. he came down about 15 yards and broadside and baaa he stopped and WHAPPP!!! i smoked him!! he ran about 100- 125 yards and found him in the planted pines. I was so pumped that i called everyone i could think of from the stand. he weighed 185 and is my biggest deer i have ever taken with a gun or bow and my second deer with a bow and 1st buck with a bow. i''ll try to post pictures in a few!! lets keep it going boys so we can win this thing!!!

Re: Now I\'ve seen it all now that is pretty cool!! that would be hilarious to see a duck come in and just slide off the plastic! i think i would have a herat attack and might even see the dog laugh a bit too!

Re: First Kill Congrats on your first!! i shot a doe on sat evening and hit her in the shoulder baled with a hammerhead and and got NOO penetration. still hav not found any sign of her . hope she'll be ok. then last night my brother shoots one with a crossbow and can't find the arrow or any blood. went back today and found nothing. no bloood no deer no dead smell no nothing. been seeing alot of deer just can't recover one. makes me SICK to my stomach just thinking about it! i'm not giving up though. i'm gonna make a shot right in the boiler room next time. just got to stay calm!!
