Re: A Ford joke! [ QUOTE ] I'm a Ford man true and true. We don't have to say anything bad about other brands to make ourselves feel special. We're already the best. I honestly think that GM and Ford should merge and focus only on Trucks and muscle cars. Forget the minivan and family car sissy crap. Even nix the SUV's the foreign companies are making them better too. People will always buy american muscle cars and trucks. They would have the corner on the market. Your's truly, 2005 4x4 F-150 5.4 L V8 [/ QUOTE ] Only reason ford wants to merge is to beable to touch that sweet motortrend award.

Re: Fair Chase I read your post and to me Fair Chase is where the game animal can free roam all they want. No high fences where they can't get out. Food Plots to me is not cheating or baiting, but to others it is. I for one don't hunt over any food plots, and I don't hunt to much over crop land. I personally like hunting the deep woods, right in the bucks bedroom. I see your point, but food plots and feeders are a way to bring animals in, but if its legal go right ahead.... Remeber you still got to make the shot. In MHO still fair chase. I do not use scouting cameras. I have one, but to lazy to get it out there. I like to scout by eye sight. Going to the woods and finding the sign. I really like to see all the pics on the photograph and video section on here of trailcam pics of game animals. The animals we hunt are far superior than us, so what if you use a trail camerea. Humans will never level up the playing field when it comes to hunting. I see no foul or hurting in using a trail cam. But thats my opinion. You said yourself its illegal to have trail cameras in the aid of a harvested animal, so don't do it. But in other states it might be legal. Even though you might think its ethically wrong, gotta respect it, because its legal in other areas. I do agree though that there are gagets and inventions out there that might take the excitement and joy out of hunting. I've seen some gagets that allow you to follow the blood trail at night right to the animal. I forget what its called, but that to me takes the enjoyment out of the hunt. I want to find the animal with my own eyes. So I do agree that some companies out there are starting to make things that take the challenge out of hunting even though they mean good.

Re: My first archery deer. [ QUOTE ] I just spent 35 minutes typing out a really cool story about my first archery deer. When I pushed submit I got one of those darned "Not vaild" things. It's late now and I'm not doing it again tonight. It was a doe. It's dead now. If you want a picture, go outside or in your garage and look at your ice chest. That's what she looks like now. [/ QUOTE ] Holy smokes that was funny...Congrats John!

Re: stirring the pot [ QUOTE ] We should not be afraid to stir the pot. The whole intention of this post was not to bring out the worst in people, although I expected it. I am sure everyone has seen a hunting technique which irks them, but at the same time it may be legal (or maybe not) and as a hunter we can except it as hunting but it still raises our hackles. That is what I was getting at and although my example of road hunting (which is legal here if one exits the vehicle and does not shoot from or across a public roadway) seemed to almost take over the main idea of the post. I would hope that to remain the best site on the net we do not have to limit our post to warm fuzzy, positive thoughts, but instead can have educated, well thought out discussions concerning all aspects of hunting and life in general. I certainly do not expect everyone to hunt as I do and in fact I must be a little on the wacky side as I have met no one willing to do the walking (sometimes running) that it takes to hunt the mountains here. The good thing is that the only hunters I see on most days are the family members who occasionally accompany me. I think that if you are enjoying the way you hunt and it is legal, well hunt on, for the more people we get involved in hunting the better it has to survive for future generations. [/ QUOTE ] By the way, huntercasey is me... Your right, 100% in my book, if its legal by all means you do your thing I'll do mine. I'm not gonna bash on someone when they aren't committing a foul. But when I saw your post and the subject reading says "stirring the pot" that tells me your here to start a big argument. Like I said before and I'll say it again. This website in my honest opinion is the best there is. I love it here. And I've been here long enough to know when someone is trying to stir the pot that means trouble.

Re: Indy\'s defense sure is stingy today Great game!! I was really sweating this game with Grand ma ma, Larry Johnson, but we did very well against the run, but the Chiefs really handed us the game. Trent Green was off his game, and so was Tynes the kicker. We played very well, but they did hand us the game, even though we dominated the whole thing. Addai (sp?) was amazing this game, he really proved to be a strong running back. Jamal Lewis hasn't had a great season and hopefully he'll struggle this game to. Peyton better bring his A Game next week, because the Ravens has a great secondary in Reed and a Horse of a Linebacker in Ray Lewis. Great win! Go Colts!
