They've all been biting great here in Illinois the last couple weeks. The weather has been about perfect, and everything seems to be going right.

I like that treestand, will definitely have to look into one. Gotta get the bow restrung, but other than that....just trail and timber maintenance to try and switch some paths and spots up a little bit.

Great idea and job! I've done the same thing before. Usually though I just use my climbing harness and rigging.

Alright, thank you guys very much. That outfitter in WI has peaked our interest and will definitely be one we look into. As for the anti-hunters.....it never ceases to amaze me some of the stuff they will do. They go through more work just to try and prevent it.

Good morning everyone. I just wanted to see if I could get some feedback from y'all....a few of my family members and I are wanting to plan a trip in the next few years to go on a bear hunt. Just seeing if anyone could make any recommendations on which state/province to go to, what to hunt, gun vs. bow, outfitters, etc? Thanks guys!

Hey y'all, just bought a new H&R Ultra Slug 12 guage. I had two questions. First, can anyone recommend the best kind of slug to be used with this gun? Also, I bought a Bushnell 1.5-4.5x32 shotgun scope for it, and was wondering what scope rings/size of rings would be best for it? I've never mounted a scope before as my muzzleloader came with one on it, and I much preferred open sights on shotguns and handguns in the past. Thanks.

what's it comin too? My old highschool, where my mom teaches, had a bomb threat yesterday. They evacuated the school about about 8:45 a.m., released all the students at about 12:30 with parent signatures, and the teachers got to go home at about 3:00. They never found nothing, but the town cops, the counties, the state, and a bomb squad from Springfield were there. They had a hard time gettin' a bomb dog there, because outside of Chicago, there are only 5 in the state of Illinois. . . . and 3 were at another school with a bombthreat, 1 was in Champaign which was too far, and 1 was actually at the Springfield Academy helping to train officers. Poor dog had to do a school that it usually takes 3 dogs to sweep, PLUS ISP training had to be stopped for the day. The older I get, the more I realize that this is a sick world we're living in, and more people need to find God.

I'd definately have to say rare to medium-rare. I will eat it other ways sometimes, but it just aint the same. . .and I can't stand when some people give ya a charcoled brick a meat.

that used to happen to me quite a bit, and honestly. . sometimes it was just getting stuck. just wait a day or two and trying the nuetral with shuttin er off to see.
