(there's a picture of it along with a big brown I caught in my picture post album) Anyway, looks like you've got quite the fisherman on your hands! If I were you, I would definately be bragging as well! Great pics!

Re: Tiger Trout Deershed - I've been going trout fishing for as long as I can remember and have caught ONE tiger trout that was a mere 11" long. My dad is almost 60 and has caught VERY few tigers in his lifetime. If I were you, I would have gotten the 22 incher mounted..... because that's one NICE tiger. Congrats on a bunch of great fish!

Re: Time to go shark fishing...... I've only been to the beach like 4 times in my life and NEVER go into the water higher than my knees. I can swim perfectly fine but if I can't see what's in the water with me...... I'm a nervous wreck. One of the women I work with went to Myrtle Beach with her daughter and a few friends 2 weeks ago and said that they were catching hammerhead sharks one after another. Biggest one her daughter was able to get in was a little over 3 feet long... but they also had quite a few to break their line with ease. Andrea - how bout I bring a few poles down there and we'll show these boys how to catch em.

Re: 3-day weekend! WOO HOO! I've got a 4-day weekend........ so nyah! HOPEFULLY I'll get my car back on Friday, and have enough time to install the longtube header for my car, along with 2.5" piping and a magnaflow converter. Monday I'll be going to watch the fireworks at our local armory with a bunch of friends. Buuuut, other than that, I'm gonna try to do as little as possible.

Re: Racoon Bait. Last fall we caught 4 big coons in live traps on canned tuna or hot dogs.... LOL! If they're hungry enough, anything should work.

Re: Summer Activities Chiming in late as usual! Normally in the spring I do lots of trout fishing, but in the summer I attend lots of car shows, although this summer I've found myself working a lot with our flower beds and such. Next month after a big car show on the 9th and 10th, I plan on starting to shoot my pistol more, learn to shoot skeet, and also learn to shoot my bow better. Gonna be busy busy busy.... but it'll be worth it!

Re: Good trout bait Newarcher - coles is exactly right. We've caught LOTS of nice sized trout that way. I usually pinch off the tail of a night crawler (1-2 inches), run the hook through the pinched off end, double it over on the hook once or twice, poke the syringe into the middle part of the worm and shoot enough air into it for the thing to float in the water. Be careful not to put too much air into it though or it'll bust the worm and not float. After shooting the worm with air, dip him in the water to see if he actually floats, but if not, poke another hole in him, give him another small shot of air and test it again before tossing him out in the lake. Anymore questions - feel free to ask.

Re: Good trout bait I've gone trout fishing for as long as I can remember.... Dad and I have always used night crawlers (blown up with a syringe), power bait (orange or chartreuse work best), colored marshmallows with a mealworm, and so on. Then there's always the rooster tails, panther martins, etc,. Anyway...... good luck and be sure to post pics if you catch anything!
