  1. That is one beautiful buck! We have a good number of albinos in my area.
  2. Ahhhhhh the memories of hunting trips! Great story. Sorry for all the money that cost you, but you got a nice buck out of the deal!
  3. Congrats on a beautiful buck! Nice picture as well.
  4. Congrats Eric! Job well done. That is one heck of a hole!
  5. Great buck. Congrats.....he's a beauty!!
  6. At least you saw some activity in the morning Eric. Still lots of time....I'm sure you're going to have lots more close encounters this Fall. And I always question if I'm sitting in the right spot or not.....but then when you sneek an arrow behind the shoulder of that deer....you can smile and say...."yup...picked the right spot!!"
  7. Congrats on a great hunt. Nice wide buck.
  8. Great buck! Congrats to your buddy!
  9. That is one narly bruiser. Great buck.
  10. Looks like a great mount and a great wall of bucks. Congrats.
  11. Congrats buddy. Take it and run with it!! Have fun.
  12. You can also pull two screws, turn the part with the skull on it 180 degrees and this can sit on a desktop or a shelf for display also.
  13. Here are a couple of plaques that my neighbor made for me, for the european mounts that I did on my last couple of bucks. I thought the plaques turned out great. He made them out of solid oak...planed them down and stained one "golden oak" and the other (the darker one) "American Heritage". Anyway, just wanted to show them. He's never made these before, but I thought he did an excellent job, and quick!! I just took him over a pattern that I drew up a few days ago.
  14. Congrats Gary. Nice bird....great pictures. -Travis

    Bury or Boil ?

Re: Bury or Boil ? The first one I did, I used bleach and store bought peroxide and a lot of scraping to get it the way i did. I also sprayed it with a clear lacquer, (someone told me I should). The next few I did, I used Sal-Soda during the simmering process and then I whitened it with a paste mixture of Volume 40 Hyrdrogen Peroxide and Magnesium Carbonate. Those two turned out much whiter. The one on the top left of the picture is the first one I tried. The other two are ones I did this year.

    Bury or Boil ?

Re: Bury or Boil ? Don't bury it. I burried one and it took forever to get it white again, it was so dirt stained and the meat and flesh kind of oozed and greased itself into the bone.....it was a mess. Boil it and buy some Sal-Soda from a taxidermy supply store. The Sal-Soda really loosens up the junk very well.
  17. Re: Bow buck officially scored, disappointment ensues Awesome buck! Nothing to be dissapointed about there! Congrats! I know where you're coming from though. I once lost a bass tournament by 1/10 of an ounce! I would rather have lost by a pound!!
  18. Re: albino muledeer!!!!!!!!! Awesome! Thanks for the pics.
  19. Re: my best bow buck Great buck! Congrats. I'd have him officially scored, I think 120 is low. I bet he will at least make P&Y at 125 My brother killed a buck almost identical to that a few years ago, and it scored 131" and it only had a 15" spread as well.
  20. Re: Got him officially scored today.......... Great buck! Take a hammer and knock off that G5 on the right side and you will net 150" then!
  21. Re: PSE Nova It was my first bow. I bought it used from a local bow shop. Shot my first two bow kills with it, and then I bought a new bow. The Nova still shoots great and I gave it to my brother, as he is just starting to bow hunt.
  22. Re: JoshM\'s Last 4 Hunting Seasons... *Lots of pic Congrats to you. Looks like you are having no problems filling a freezer. Good job. That is a great 8 pointer as well.
  23. Re: What\'s the biggest deer you\'ve ever killed ??? This 6 point is my heaviest deer 182 pounds field dressed. This is my biggest racked buck.
