Are you shooting 3" or 3.5" shells? Nitro makes a 3.5" with 2 7\16 oz. but if your reloading the HW #7's hit hard. You could always try some TSS but i Must warn you there is no turning back once you shoot a TSS haha. I know for a fact that your effective yardage out of the #7 hevi shot is well beyond 35yds and with a pattern like yours your good well beyond 35yds. I prefer to shoot them at 30yds but dont let those 7's fool you. I shoot Nitro shells out of my 12ga and the patters are unreal and the effectivness of them is head shaking awesome. I shoot TSS 9's out of my little 20ga i built and they are unreal to say the least. But thats a whole different animal.

132 pellets is pretty stout for the head and neck.

She's hooked for sure Al. She loves it. She got to see everything on those two days. Birds gobbled good and henned up quick. Made a circle on them and sat up and called 3 nice ones in to 30yds I had a tree blocking 2 of them but the strutter was straight ahead of her and just as I started to tell her to shoot I saw her gun wasn't fixed on the strutter as I had told her to stay on him. The birds crossed up in a thicket and she was mesmerized by all that was going on in front of us. When he blew up and drummed I heard her say "Oh my gosh!!!!" When they walked off she turned and appoligized for not getting a shot but she was aiming at one and look at the other and was just all in total awe. I just laughed and asked if she had fun and would come back. Her answer was the most amazing sight she's seen in the woods and wouldn't miss a chance at coming back. I told her not to worry about not getting a shot and that I wouldn't shoot one while she was with me until she shoots one. My first bird made my season. She told me I better not let one walk if she can't get a shot again. I didn't want to shoot this one but they looped in behind us. I called them in from about 400yds or so it was an amazing hunt. When they hooked us I asked her if she cared if I shot one if they came up behind us. She said I better not let it walk so I said ok. I was so happy to get another bird but really wanted her to shoot She was ecstatic for me and was just purely thrilled. It was an awesome hunt for sure. The good Lord really blessed us with and awesome hunt.

Called 2 up and they came around behind us. Girlfriend couldn't shoot and told me I better not let one walk, (called 3 up sat morning for her and she never got a shot, strutting at 30yds, she was in total awe and had so much fun. She's hooked) So I got to take the 12ga out of retirement 19.2lbs 10.25" beard 1" sharp spurs that sliced me up pretty good.

Got this ol boy at 7:44 this morning. Truly a blessing. New land first time hunting it. Drummed all the way into 20yds and I couldn't take it any more. Never gobbled just strutted And drummed. Pretty cool way to start off the season. I'm loving my little 20ga I built. 23lbs 12 1/8" beard Just over 1 3/8" spurs. Can't find my 1/16" tape Truly blessed

Ha yall are messed up, up there. I have the reg stock dipped to so i could change it out if i ever ran into that problem. Ill be up that way some time to hopefully check NY off my list.

I did cant wait. Its always a fun contest. Would be cool to make the same team agian. Al I thought about trying to figure out how to put a little homing beacon on it, hahaha. I’ll spend a good bit of time look for it I imagine
