My little girl has been in the woods with me since she was 1 yr old. She turned 3 a couple of weeks ago and with the aid of some shooting sticks and Dad , she bagged her first doe. I think they should be able to hunt at whatever age if they choose to, accompanied by an adult of course.

Just finished one last night. I use a large stock pot, think its about 12 quarts . Bought it at either Academy or Wal-Mart, it was pretty cheap , around $12 or $14 bucks.

What town you close to in Kansas, we hunt in that area. My brother in law got a 140 inch deer two weeks ago. The bucks were definately in full rut , my buddies saw alot of mature deer. This is the first time in eight years I missed hunting up there, but I am ready for next year.

This is my wife's second year to hunt and I am very proud of her. She hunted in the blind alone and was set on harvesting a mature buck no matter the antler size. Soon after shooting light she spotted this buck chasing a doe, he stopped for a few seconds to sample some corn at 85yds and she let him have it with her .260. The shot was perfect, he went 30 yards and crashed in the brush. The deer was a main frame 8 with a kicker, he scored 126-3/4 , weighed 160, and aged 5 1/2 years.

I have been seeing some deer and hope to score on a buck in the next few weeks. I still have alot of time left to hunt and will wait to enter a doe until I know I have no more opportunity on a buck.

Sorry to hear about your rough start. Here things are going pretty well, I have arrowed 3 doe so far and rifle season starts Saturday. My buddy called and said they have been seeing some great bucks. The bucks here started chasing doe about two weeks ago , but the rut has not peaked yet. Hope I can put some meat on the ground this weekend. Good luck team.

So far I have bagged a couple of doe, still waiting on a big buck. We really need to get a team name !!! Hope all of you are having a great season so far.
