Re: babby turkeys Hate to pile on here, but what you did was wrong! The only disclaimer I'll add for ever taking an animal from the wild is if the mother had been killed or something like that. Even then, your success is going to be poor. If they do happen to make it, you end up with pet turkeys, not wild ones. They're wild animals and that's where they belong.

Re: Golfin! Got to play New Year's Day and then for personal reasons, had to put golf on hold for a while. After four months of not touching a club I got invited to play in my club's member-member tournament. The first day I made four birdies and shot even par 72, my best round so far this year.

Re: world hunt competition That's just wrong IMO. They are bastardizing what hunting is all about. I'm assuming the only way to score points is to make a "kill". What kind of message does that send to people - non hunters and up and coming hunters alike? If they want to keep it real they should award points for seeing the coolest sunrise, watching a bobcat stalking a squirrel, hearing a turkey gobble or witnessing two bucks fighting. It's all that extra stuff that keeps me coming back and wanting to "compete".

Re: picture problem I've been having the same problem for a couple of weeks. All of a sudden some of the pictures show up, some don't. I can tell from the text and replies that there's supposed to be a picture there, but it's not. Not even a red X box. Even happens with avatars, some are there some are just blank. Beats me.

Recently read about this stand in Peterson's Bowhunting. Anybody have one? Leveler My concern would be how quiet it is with the four lynch pins. I found this review online. Review These guys seem to like it. I can think of alot of situations over the last few years where I'd love to have something like this. Never a straight tree around when you need one.

Re: How much beak meat in 06? Fantastic season here in Virginia. Weather was absolutely perfect. Although I hunted during the week, Saturday was my day this year as I was toe-toting each of the first three to tag out. Killed my biggest spurred turkey ever at 1 5/8. But the picture below is what made my season. The first year my 10 year-old son, Josh hunted with me. We didn't get him one but now he's got the fire. Can't wait till next year!
