Re: Bow question? get as good a bow as you can afford but make sure you get it through a bow shop that has good customer service.this will aid you the most setting up the bow and with any problems you might have down the line.

  9. Re: #3 the streak lives i never shot a deer that weighed under 100 lbs which i would consider small here in delaware.and if my neighbor shot 1 small deer and i didnt my family would have an empty freezer.
  10. Re: #3 the streak lives Thank you very much.for the past several years i let smaller deer walk only to see them gunned down on the next farm.i had a big bodied but young 6 pointer under me several times last year and i let him go then during gun season i heard from a friend that a guy shot him on the next farm and he told my friend "he had a small rack but the meat was good" after watching him grow for a year it made me sad because you could tell he was going to grow real big.if you hunt on a property with neighbors who dont practice deer management you are pretty much wasting your time.
  11. Re: #3 the streak lives they dont get bigger when the people who hunt the adjoining property shoot anything that moves during gun season.which starts this friday.

  17. Re: Carolina Archery Foxfire SP i hunt in the thick woods from a climber so most of my shots are real close so i use a 1 pin sight on my outback and it works great.no need to think about other pins

    They got me!

i have 3 areas i hunt, i have been bowhunting two of them but i have saved the third. its right around the corner from my 70 year old dads house. and ive been saving it to take him muzzleloading a week from this sat.we took a walk there today to check out the stands and someone stole my big tripod stand and a great metal stand that my wife uses.(used)it must of taken them hours to take them apart and lug them through the swamp where they were.i am so peed off.i use a climber but my father cant and now this.i dont have enough time or money to replace them right now so i will have to save up. i hope they have a nice time hunting in them.

  21. Re: need a light-weight rainsuit look in cabelas and check out their frogg toggs. they are very lightweight and breathable and they work great.
  22. Re: Question about treestand cover i went to my local craft store and bought some fake green vines and i zip locked them around my climber.it blends right in .i always cut a few natural branches to tie on my stands each time i go hunting for cover and scent control too
  23. I have to thank all of you fellow hunters for making this site so entertaining.i can always find something interesting here.just reading some of these stories makes me feel like im there hunting with you guys and girls.there is always a wealth of info for anything you could want to know and all you have to do is ask for it.i have found some good humor here at times that has made me laugh outload.it seem that the bow hunting community it a tight knit group who are willing to help each other out.so once again THANKS.
