  1. I don't like entering anything without a contract. Friends are friends but this is a business agreement. Thanks for the opinions so far.
  2. I have a unique opportunity to purchase land with a friend in another state. I have known and hunted with him for several years. I do trust my future partner but I believe i need to protect myself legally. What would you put into a contract between two parties when purchasing real estate? Thanks for your opinion.
  3. Happy New Year to all!!!!!!!

    Well?

Tim, your prays have been answered. Next year our bow season starts October 1st as part of NYDEC new plan.
  5. Awesome deer. Congrats. It must be a great feeling to have your son with you sharing an awesome experience.
  6. Good luck to the New Yorkers tomorrow. I will be hunting Dutchess county. I haven't seen any good bucks on camera, just busted up spikes and four pointers. I am hoping the good ones skirted around the back end of the cameras. Good luck and have a safe one.
  7. Nice opening day buck. Congrats to your buddy. Great that you backed out.
  8. I just had the same problem and it was just over a year old and they took it back. Hopefully getting it back soon. Call customer service.

  14. Has anyone ever tried these sabots? I am looking to switch over from Lightfields. The sporting goods store has them on sale for $8 a box. Lightfields went up to $18 a box at Gander Mountain. They shot well out of my 11-87 but not that good. Also looking at the Remington Accu tips. Any info would be appreciated. What is everyone else shooting? Frank
  15. I paced it out to 40 yards. Those Remington #5 3in do the job.
  16. It all came together yesterday early morning. My buddy and I set up 100yds from where they roosted the night before. As the birds started sounding off, I knew it was going to be a great morning. One gobbler pitched down right in front of me about 60yds but a small tree covered his head and neck so I waited for a clean shot and when he presented it I noticed a larger tom 10 yrds behind him in a semi strut with a long beard. I held tight and sqeezed and it was all over. My first tom of the season. He weighed 20lbs, 10 in beard and 1 in spurs.
  17. Congrats and Happy birthday
  18. Ruger .38 revolver with a 2inch barrel
  19. I went out this morning around 6am and saw several does. Then nothing till about 8am. I just happen to see a deer in the corner of my eye and caught a glimpse of an antler at about 70yrds. I then lost him. He had bedded and I could not see him. I glassed and saw his body and an antler everytime he turned his head. He was bedded for about 20 minutes till a shot rang out close by. He got up and started to make his way to me and then quartered away and my 11-87 barked and put him down. As I got up, I was kneeling the whole time, he got up and made a run for it and my 2nd shot caught him. He is a 7pt
  20. After a sleepless night, I found him. After making a marginal shot and jumping him twice out of his bed, I found him. I decided to let him expire overnight hoping to find him the next day. That was the best thing I could have done. I returned to the last bed I jumped him out of and could not find any blood for over 20 minutes. My friend and I decided to do a body search. After not finding anything, I decided to follow some rustled leaves and found him at the bottom of a ridge. He didnt go more than 100yds from his last bed.
  21. Well I went out this morning and found him about 100yrds from where we jumped him last. He took a tumble down a ridge and found him at the bottom of the ridge. Just as I suspected, I hit a little intestine and sliced the liver. I will post pics later
