We have had some luck. Here are a few pics so far this year. Between 3 guys so far this year including the nusiance season we are over 40 honkers.

How is the bird flu up there???????????? Just heard no birds are allowed back in the US because they found the bird flu in canada.

First of all you should ALWAYS pattern your shells out of your gun. 2nd of all sounds like you are shooting the rear ends off of the birds. Means you are behind them. You need to swing faster.

No fair weather fan here. I just go with my cubs and bears. The bears problem this year is grossman. The cubs problem this year is dempster. Although the cubs have handled the cards like no ones business as they do 99 percent of the time anyway. Not getting to excited about the NFL only week 4 ALOT of football left to be played yet. ALOT I still laugh about last year how everyone was telling me the bears didn't have a chance in the playoffs but funny they made it to the superbowl. Oh they don't stand a chance against the saints.. WRONG they pounded the saints in the ground. Well it was outside and cold.

Wow what a one year turn around. Bottom of the majors last year to winning the division this year. They are the strongest team in the central even though that really isn't saying much but they pounded the cardinals 3/4 of the time this year when they played them along with the brewers who I knew would choke in the end. Not sure how far they will make it though. I would say maybe the NL championship series but that is about it.

Well how did everyone do?????????????? Saturday we shot 31 with 7 guys all but 2 of them were teals. Sunday we shot 23 with 4 guys all but 3 were teal. Today we shot 16 with 3 guys that is the picture below. Wish I would have known where my camera was for Saturday and Sunday. We found it today in my buddies truck under his back seat burried in some camo clothes that I had put under his seat Friday night. It stinks that I didn't get any pics of the birds BUT I did find the camera so that saved me 300 bucks. Here are pics of today hunt

Well at least for this year finally. I will prob. have to repaint the drakes next year as the gray on them is a cheap paint but will work for this fall.

get a dvd for sure. I know I had a hammer and it sounded just fine but got rid of it for a SMH

They are good sounding calls but I am kind of fond of calef calls. Good ol Iowa boy I am supporting.

22 bucks isn't to bad for 3 1/2's. I know my kent is 17 bucks a box what the heck is another five it will do the trick even better. I know gander mountain sells the 3 inch for 20 a box and the 3 1/2 for 25 a box. Thought about going with heavy steel this year but it went up in price might buy a couple boxes of black cloud although I have to shoot up my case of kent first.

There are always two sides to each story and of course most of the public goes with the negitive side. I would stand up for foiles. I personally think he is a stand up man.

For sure I have met him 3 times. 2 times at the DU festival in Osk Kosh and then once at the cableas in Milwaukee, WI when that opened. Funny thing is he actually remembered me from Osh Kosh. After I said hi and shook his hand he asked me how my goose call was since I bought it from him in Osh kosh at the DU fest. To me that meant alot.

Wow big words for a guy who has never met him. You want a redneck game violator let me introcduce you to Phil Robertson. AKA the duckman. He used to be the biggest violator in the US. Even admitted to it then he decided to change. Read a huge article on it once. Personally foiles is a great guy will talk to you at anytime and makes one of the BEST goose calls on the market today the SMH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a few pics of my drakes. The gf painted the heads and I did the bodies. Sure not up to expert standards but I think they will work for me. I still have some work left to do on alot of them but here they are.

Kent fasteel for just about everything now although just bought a couple cases of Fiocchi steel from Rogers Sporting Goods for a great price and it was free shipping. Good loads to I used them last year. Check out rogers online.

It is going on the water. We will sink a total of 9 post in the bottom of the lake and put 2x8 stringers all around the posts and then set the blind on top of the stringers. Going to do that next weekend. Should be interesting. We just have the blind temped together in the pics. Going to disassemble it this week after painting it and then put it together piece by piece on the water next week.

Well here are some pics of the blind we made today. Still have a few things to do but Diversdown and I are going to finish it this week and paint it before it goes out to the lake next weekend. Started on it just before noon today and quit around 7:15 this evening. I for some reason got nominated to cut everything. HHHMMMM maybe it is the carpenter thing I don't know. It was quite funny watching plumbers frame things up though while they consumed this stuff called Miller Lite. They claimed it is a beer but I don't know about that. Overall everything went well. Here are a few pics.

wow the only people that have my gps cords for the blind are the guys that hunt with me.

Added a little more paint tonight. Since I don't have an airbrush I have to do it all by hand. Also on the beaks of the ducks the gf repainted the yellow on them.

Got a little more done today. Got the gray on the bodies for the drake mallards. I painted more than I needed just so I don't end up short. Also the gf was painting the decoy heads for me. The bills are not painted yet. The paint on them is still from the guy I bought the decoys from. Here is a pic of the heads Here is a pic of a herters head on the left. The head on the right is what we painted trying to match the herters head. To me it isn't to bad. Haven't done ANY of the bills yet.
