After 15 years of using the same bow i finally broke down and bought a brand spankin new Hoyt Katera. Now what do i choose as far as rests go ?? I was considering a whisker biscuit im not sure how it would effect arrow flight though. Then i was thinking about a drop away rest.. Any suggestions and opinions are welcome..

Who knew there were enough of them around to have a hunting and trapping season here in pennsylvania. I can understand the bobcats ..But, i was just curious when they re-introduced the fishers, or have they always been around but not in great numbers ?

It looks to me like that snare has been there for a while..Is snaring legal in New York ?? I`m not familar with your laws ?? If snares are legal. Is it legal to place a snare down a hole ??

20 years 15 bucks my biggest being a 130 inch 7 point and god knows how many does..

with the weather being as warm as it`s been they aren`t gonna move until later. If you know where there entering the fields, try setting up 50 to 100 yards in the woods close to the trail their using to get into the field..

Whatever you are comfortable with... If you can handle a nose bleed go as high as you want, if not stick to 12 to 15 feet..Just keep plenty of cover to your back.

Try hunting a little deeper in the woods

I would lean towards the hardwoods if it was an oak flat, Deer can hear acorns dropping from a mile away, lol..I would watch the creek bottom though,, because as it cools off scent tends to sink,so set your treestand wisely..

Pay attention to where they enter and exit fields..If you know where their bedding areas are, thats a plus for you..Also don`t be afraid to hunt a little deeper in the woods instead of on the edge of a field..Bucks tend to linger behind and come out a little later than the does do..

With the right round the humble .243 is an awesome deer cartridge. I shot a doe last season in excess of 200 yards with a 75 grain ballistic tip and completely took her of her feet.. So the debate continues...my 2 cents worth
