  3. Our QDM rules We have been managing for 8 years now with great results. Our rules are: -Nothing smaller than an eight point, we are herd managers not trophy hunters. -We try to shoot 10 does per our 500 acres a year -You are allowed one buck off the property a year, unless you get lucky enough to shoot one with a bow, but the second buck MUST be bigger than the first. -ALL NYS hunting laws must be followed, no illegal tag sharing like many people in NY do and have even seen some people do it that are on here. -Only family or families spouse can hunt our property no friends, we have other land that we take friends hunting if we want to take them After we started following these rules what a huge difference in our hunting experience, everyone of us is on board with the rules and really enjoy what a difference it makes.

  8. Has anyone else had any luck? I got a doe opening day of muzzleloader season but forgot to take pics of me and the deer so I guess that just means I will have to get another one, Which I will. We have good pieces of property and some more tags. Good luck as you folks are headed out to the woods!!
  9. Sounds like you had a good time!! Good luck next time you go out. Yotes can be a little intimidating when they are that close at night, you never seem to know how many there are when they start howling and personaly I don't want to get close enough to count
  10. Stupid poachers!! Sorry to hear of your bad neighbors, there are a bunch of poachers around our parts for sure. Good luck catching them and good luck with the rest of your season.
  11. He looks like a great buck, I also like the stringy velvet. He looks pretty young, and what I am saying by that is looks like you have some great genetics in your area!! Good luck getting him!!

  21. I am so glad that we get 10 fet of snow and really cold temps during the winter, because I hate snakes and am very glad we don't have anything like that around here!!!
