I was out looking for sheds yesterday I came across a deer I knew way too well. He is a 15 point giant main frame 8 with trash on him. He scores right around 210. The question is that I do not have the money to get him mounted and I don't know what to do with it. I know I could do a european mount but this thing is too big.......any suggestions?

I was wanting to pick up the new switchback, but I thought I would ask what kind of speeds you guys are getting out of them. My draw is 28... what do you think I can expect to get out of it. Thanks for the help

I am looking at getting a drop away rest and I have the opportunity to get a Trophy Ridge drop zone for $65. I have been lookin gand this seems to be a pretty good price but I need to act fast. I will be putting it on a mathews switchback and need to know if it is quiet reliable ect.... I am sure someone else has already asked this but any advise I can get would be appreciated thanks bowhnter16

Re: Shed Antler Trap. I think it is illegal to feed at all now that they are worried about CWD. I thought I saw where one could not feed at all because it makes the deer congrigate and if one of the deer did have CWD they could spread it to the rest of the group. I am not sure though I would ask the local CPO.

Re: Shed and Shrooms spring 05 fourtrax you have to try them, they are excellent. All I do is soak them in saltwater to get all the critters out then cut them in half and dip them in an egg milk mixture, then put cracker crumbs or flour on them and fry them up. you really cant beat a good batch or morels you have to try them.

found this pic tonight and had to share, this is a shed I found last spring while out looking for shrooms. I remember walking over a hill glanceing around at the ground then I looked up to see a beautiful side laying in a dry creek bed. This was my best antler of last year and it scored in right at 83 1/8. Doesn't quite look like it in the pic but the main beam curls all the way around and measures 28 2/8 inches, the rest of the measurements are g1 2 2/8, g2 12 6/8, g3 11, g4 6 3/8, h1 5, h2 4 3/8, h3 4 1/8, h4 3 7/8, and the one abnormal is 2 1/8. Re: 2006 shed contest.... count me in this year, I didn't participate last year but followed it to the end and checked the board everyday. I usually find about 15 a year so I know someone will be upset to get stuck with me but I put in a ton of miles so maybe I will get lucky

Re: Slug Gun Suggestions? I have a H&R ultra slugger, it is a little heavy byt it is sweet. Very accurate and still easy to get 2 shots off. This year I shot a doe at 122 yards using lightfields in it. Plus you can get the gun for probably cheaper than a slug barrel for the 870. I have an 870 that I use fir long walks and it shots very well to, but if you want a treestand slug gun go for the H&R.
