  1. Re: Shot a nice buck!!! Congrats, lets get some pics
  2. I accidentally put this in the wrong room before, this is just a copy of what is in the deer hunting room. Took me awhile to post this, but better late than never. This deer is my biggest to date and I got him with my bow to top it off. He is 15 points and gross scores 158 5/8. I had been out hunting quite a bit during that week and had seen a lot of deer, but knew this one was in the area since I had seen him the week before. The night had been going pretty slow, and I had only seen 5 deer but then I heard a crunch and this big guys was closing fast. ended up shooting him at 15 yards quartering too with my hoyt. The shot was a little far back, but the muzzy did the job. With some much needed help from some friends we followed a really slim bloodtrail to the deer about 150 yards from the stand. The blood trail was weak because the exit hole got plugged by fat. Not finding any blood made me really nervous, but like I said I was lucky I had good help. Code: Code:
  3. Re: 2005 IL Bowkill Thanks I forgot to mention that I have a shed off of this deer. Just looking at the sheds I would guess him to be 5 1/2. Semms a little too old to me, but he does carry very good mass and he is 5 7/8 at the bases. Oh-Yeah this is the only big buck in IL so it is really not worht the drive
