well guys today it happend. i got home around 3 45, went upstairs and ate some ice cream and watched tv, well i got settled in the stand around 5 15 or so, i changed my stand location this time, to a good trail. well i was thinkin about what i was going to do when a deer came up, and i looked up and this nice 6 pointer was trotting in, i started shaking bad. well he got to withing about 13 yards, i came to full draw, and busted him. he took off out of sight. well i called dad, and one of my buddies. and i tracked him for about 125 yards, then i stopped and put an arrow when i saw the last bit of blood, because the blood was thinning up real bad. well dad came down and we walked all through the woods and didnt see any sign, do we walked towards a road, and he saw blood crossing the road, and what looked like to be where the deer was dragging its legs, so we knew either it would be on the other side of the ditch, or someone picked it up, well we went about 20 yards into the woods on the other side of the road, and we found him. im very excited about this one. first deer with a bow. thanks for listening.

well, i got up at 6, went and got into the stand, and saw a doe around 6 50, and thats all i saw the whole morning, i was pretty disapointed because im huntin a good spot, but i figured the full moon had them all messed up, then i got down and went home and went to sleep for a while. then went back out at 5. and had no action from deer what so ever, then around 7 15 i was fixin to get down i heard somethin behind me, i looked and it was a messed up rack 4 pointer, and well ive been huntin with a bow for 2 years and this being my 3rd, but that little joker walked RIGHT under my stand and had me shakin like crazy, about that time i saw a doe about 65 yards out. he fed for a little but then turned broadside and i came to full draw and POP! he ducked my arrow. man i was so mad. thats the 3rd time that happend to me, oh well. Everything happends for a reason.

ive posted some pics of some pretty nice deer on here if any of yhall can remember, and ive set the camera out the past 3 times, and havent gotten any pics of them, do you think they have moved on? because these past years ive hunted this 40 acre piece of land i havnet seen nothing close to being as big at those that i got pics of, but then again i just got my camera jan. of 06. but do you think that they just came by my corn for a few weeks?

well me and 2 of my buddies decided we would shoot some doves today, i planted and cut a corn and sunflower field, a really really smalle 1/4 acre maybe field, with a powerline, we managed to kill 43, which was awesome, we hunted for about 3 hrs. and i got my first double ever, great times.

Re: Opening morning? ill be about 15 feet in a oak tree in a homemade stand, over looking some trails and corn.

Re: Weirdest thing you\'ve ever seen while hunting? i was huntin one day, and had some corn out and some guy walked right up to my corn pile and picked up my corn like he'd never seen corn before in his life. that made me pretty mad cause this was my first time huntin this spot, but i didnt say anything then he came down and sat underneath my tree and never saw me or anything, weird thing was i saw 3 does and a 8 & 9 pointer that same afternoon, with him under my tree and his scent on the corn, no gun or anything just dressed in camo, never saw me at all

its a tippman 98 custom, bought it for $200 a couple years ago, didnt use it a whole lot, reason for saleling is i wanna get out of the paintball deal, i have this one and another one i want to sale, the other one is a spyder E99, its got semi-auto, 3 burst, and fully auto. Both would come with a 9 oz. tank, and the barrel, and hopper, everything included. Im gonna sale the tippman for $115, and the spyder for $145. I will pay for shipping. well i sat out the new cuddeback, and had 64 pics, this is the 9th buck on this little 40 acre piece of land i have, for this part of NC, this is one of the bigger deer ive seen. and these are the first fawn pics ive ever gotten, enjoy!

i cleared 2 lanes for my huntin area, they are about 7 feet wide and 50-75 yards long. and i wont be able to get a tractor back there, and was wondering what no-till seed i should get for this fall? suggestions please. thanks Dalton

Re: clearing land? i have a feeder their, at 16.5 yards for bow, and when gun season comes, i was gonna put the feeder in the lanes.

i didnt know where else this would go so i decided to put it in here. ive got a permenant stand back in the woods, and ive been getting pics of some REALLY nice deer, esp. for NC and around here. and i was wondering what you thought about chearing lanes? i was gonna clear 2 shoot lanes about 10-20 ft. wide and about 75 yards long, do you think having the bulldozer back their would scare them off? thanks

put the camera out yersterday, and had 92 pics, wow im pretty siked about bow season. One of these deer will hopefully be my first bow deer. im wondering whats up with the half rack?
