Re: how big was your HS? [ QUOTE ] 16 in my class. There was 5 of us that started together in K and walked across the stage together. Been out of school 13 years and never have had a class reunion. Not sure the total number of students, but K thru 12 was all in the same building [/ QUOTE ] You did not graduate from Kennard in 1993 did you? Sounds suspiciously familiar!!! Technically we had a graduating class 24 but only about 16 or 17 were in our class ... there was a guy who they were graduating because he was 21 and several who did not have enough credits from the year before so took a few credits with us and walked with us. I think the whole school was maybe 400 kids and most of the kids I graduated with I started the first day of Kindergarten with me. Kinda cuts down on the dating b/c you've known them all of your life and that is just ick!!! hehe! And we have been out 13 years with no reunion. We did not like each other then and we darn sure don't want to get together now!!

Re: Gifts for the women [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] It is a high end salon and I work in pink cowboy boots everyday [/ QUOTE ] Now that I've got to see.... [/ QUOTE ] I have pink Fat Babys by Ariat and they are the most comfortable thing in the world!! I wore them when we went to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, walked around in them all day and was fine! And yes I get teased by people all the time about my pink boots (I live in a small town full of cowboys ... pink is not their color!).

Re: Rodney Atkins? [ QUOTE ] Yea, it is a good song and speaks the truth...I notice daily my daughter doing things I do. I came home from work Thursday and she had on her camo over-alls and a toy pistol in each hand...her words "Daddy, we gonna go huntin'...we gonna go pow them deer" Priceless! Oh yea, she also said "When I get bigger, I gonna get a real gun, I gonna get a pink one" ...lol [/ QUOTE ] Ah a girl after my own heart!!! When you find that pink gun let me know where so I can get my own!!!! Shannon

Re: Interesting little bit of info They had a blurb with him after a concert on GAC the other day and he brought it up. He said that on Nov. 28 he would be back out in the woods hunting. So I am guessing he had not been doing any hunting until then. I have to go with the innovent until proven guilty theory on this one.

Re: *Good Housekeeping (Women take heed...LOL)* Does anyone believe this really happened anywhere? Hey ladydiehard, what are you shooting? I can't decide between the bow and the gun ... I guess it would depend on the man spouting off.

Re: Ladies doing the field dressing... When I was 13 my Dad brought home a deer and told me to get out there and help but I did not want to because it was cold and wet outside and, well, I was 13 and knew everything. I made the mistake of telling my Dad that he should be able to do it himself because any idiot can clean a deer. He said "Here you go idiot" as he handed me his knife and went inside. Oh yeah, ask me how many times I sassed him after that!!!! Anyway, got it done. Was not happy about it but I did it. When I got older and my Grandmother was fishing everyday Daddy came up with the you kill it/catch it, you clean it rule. Worked for me b/c I was not into hunting or fishing. I made it the rule at my house when I got married. Then I started hunting last year. Yeah. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!!!! I can and will clean my own deer, squirrells, fish, etc. It's not my favorite job in the world but it is not the worst either (ever cleaned out a hog pen, helped turn bulls into steers, pulled a calf? uh huh ...). You just have to make up your mind and get to it. Oh yeah, and don't cut a gut!!!!

Re: Ive lost all hope for the future.... And the sad thing is if you do complain or make them do their job correctly you get labeled 'difficult' or 'b**chy.' Hope your weekend picks up ...

Re: Been noticing the ages... Gotta tell ya, the older I get the younger middle age looks!!!! I think the worst time I ever had with age was when the younger brother of a friend I graduated with informed me that I had lost my coolness when I got old!

Re: WOW...inter-office arguement! I work in an office of women and, while there have never been anything that entertaining, there is all sorts of drama ... most radiating from someone overhearing half a conversation and starting something from what they THOUGHT they heard. SHEESH what a pain!

Re: What bows do you shoot? I shoot a Reflex Excursion set at 43 lbs (I had hubby increase the weight this year and am hopng to take it up a tad more before hunting season starts) and my draw length is 25". Last year i did not get a deer but got two pigs (a through and through on the first one to hit the second one in the lungs -- fluke that I can almost guarantee won't happen ever again).

Re: Reflex vs. Hoyt I shoot a Reflex Excursion and I love it! I just started bowhunting last year and adore the looks and feel of a Hoyt but did not want to spend that much money on a first bow (in case it was not something I wanted to continue). I did not get a deer last year but did get two pigs with it and am optimistic about this year. With the rest, sight, quiver, etc., I walked out the door for about $400.00 and intend to use it for several years.

Re: What was your first car My first vehicle was a blue 1992 Chevrolet half-ton pickup that already had 97,000 miles on it when I got it. It got a new transmission at 227,000 miles but was totalled out by a tiny mishap at 232,000 miles. I loved that truck and cried when it croaked but my all-time favorite truck was the black, ext. cab, 1-ton dually I had for a few years.

Re: Monster Bucks XIV Thank goodness!! I was beginning to think I was the only one who was unhappy because they did not have the 3d shooting contests!!! Hubby said he did not care one way or the other (was just in it for the deer!) but I really missed the competition and had decided to not buy the next year's because of this.
