I've lived in several states and you won't find a more friendly state than Oklahoma. You won't find a more depressed state than Michigan. You will be hard pressed to find a state with bigger deer than Iowa. I, however, chose to move back to my home state of Kansas; friendly people, lots of wide open space, and plenty of game. Oh and its right between Iowa and Oklahoma and far away from Michigan.

When you take a job that pays less than unemployment you don't lose your unemployment. You still get the difference to keep you at your current level of pay. I'm not sure how, but in the end you actually end up with more money in your pocket with a job and unemployment. If you don't need the job or were going to quit as soon as you got started no big deal someone else will take it.

Thanks, HB I will definitely go over all the advice you gave me and see if I can remedy the problems. I did figure out the chambered round indicator though, it is definitely subtle.

I just purchased a Beretta 92FS and after cleaning it we took it out to shoot it. It only fired three times before jamming and then jammed almost every shot for the next eight rounds or so. First off the barrel says 9mm Parabellum and I purchased 9mm Luger cartridges, I am 99% percent positive this is the right ammunition, but a little reassurance would be nice. Also the round indicator is not working either, anybody with experience or knowledge on the subject thanks for your help in advance.

I am going to purchase a new AR-15 upper, but I am not sure which barrel to buy. All other things being the same my two choices are 18" ss fluted 1in 8" twist or a 16" chrome lined vanadium alloy 1in 7" twist. I know the differences lenth and twist are going to make. My question is in the materials which is going to be more accurate and have more longevity. If possible what are the pros and cons to each. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Weaver rails I have got the Weaver mount on my 835 with a Millet red dot and it works great. They are not normally stocked in a lot of stores. I had to order mine online, but it cost less than $10.

I have the same rifle in 7mm-08. I have to run really low pressures in my reloads to keep the bolt from sticking. From what you say I don't think that is your problem. Be careful though these guns have been notorious for the bolt handle breaking off. I hope yours shoots as good as the one I have. Good luck.

I have a Model 788 Carbine in 7mm-08. I love that gun. It shoots excellent with almost everything I've put through it. The only down fall is the triggers. I sure wish Timney would start producing the triggers that they list.

"Customer is always right???? Thanks for all your input. I know that I might have spoke out of place as far as the employer was concerned, but I totally disagree that the "Customer is always right." I have worked in retail a long time and that phrase was coined for the honest, average customer; however, there are too many customers out there that take advantage of this fact. Too many retailers have bent backwards for customers when the customer was just looking for free merchandise or services. Now everyone expects that when a product breaks 3 months down the road, or they break a knife off, or a rod tip snaps that the store should replace it. I say if you bought a product that wasn't up to your standards take it up with the manufacturer, that's what I do. If they don't take care of you don't buy anymore of their products. It's funny, the same people that return merchandise every time it breaks or they aren't happy with the quality are the same people that complain that prices keep going up. Wow I totally got off subject. I think that I have a resposibility as a service provider to teach to the best of my ability my customers what is right and wrong. Let me ask you this if a customer was shooting a 70# bow and picked up some 30-50# arrows, should I tell him he's wrong even if he swears that is what he has always shot? I think you have to draw a line somewhere as to when you can speak up and say you are wrong. I just don't know exactly where that line is. I suppose it's different with every customer.

I work as an archery tech. I had a guy come in the other day with a picture of a deer's skull that he shot last year. He was bragging because his Rage broadhead had made a 2" hole in the skull behind the deers ear. My first response was "You missed!" At which he got mad and defensive saying he hit right where he aimed. I asked "Do you seriously aim for the head?" He replied, "Yes they never take a step." My feelings took over and I told him I didn't think that was very responsible or ethical. He didn't stick around very long after that. That whole story was to ask this. Am I wrong? Do any of you honestly aim for anything other than heart, lung area? It is not my place to tell someone where they should shoot an animal and I spoke without thinking, but I was just caught off guard I guess. I have seen on here many times where guys complain about bow shops, but man I could write a different story about a customer every week that would blow most of your minds. OK, I have vented long enough.

First and foremost I rely on venison for a large portion of my family's meat. I answered the pole with age, but I always look for a big (high scoring buck). When it comes right down to the end of the season though I will shoot a deer that I let walk during the first days. I always try to take does when the opportunity arrises as well.

Go with the Monarch. I think they are a little higher quality of glass than the Burris. IMO

For each pin there is an adjustment screw (that is the screw you see on the outside of the sight). For each adjustment screw there is a set screw to lock it in place once you sight it in (this is in the slot kinda behind and under the adjustment screw). I don't use this sight but had the same issue the first time I set it up on someone's bow.

Well it all depends on what kind of fletching you will be using, how much your broadheads need stabilized, etc. You do not need left helical unless you are shooting a recurve or traditional bow off the shelf. I use both right helical and straight offset depending on the fletching I'm using.

It's not a scent dripping bag. I work at Gander Mountain and we carry that exact product. I can't think of the name, but I will put it on here tomorrow night if someone has not already come up with it. What it is is a scent extraction kit. It comes with several bags and needles to extract fresh urine out of deer that you harvest. The bags have an ankle strap to do exactly what you are talking about with a valve to regulate the flow of scent. I will try to get on here tomorrow with the name of the product.

Just curious did you loosen the set screw before you tried to adjust the pin, cuz it's kind of hidden?

I always shoot the deer where I can drive right to it with the pick-up. It's easy hunting pasture ground to do that though. I have only had to drag one deer in my life. I shot it in an uncut Milo field. Won't do that again.
