Re: Are they already getting hot in Okieland? i dont know if pay any attention to the rut guide high and low phases(alziemers)(sp),,, but there is supposed to be a light seeking phase oct 5-11 in the northern zone whitch crosses OKs northern 3rd in a line from east to west,,,i follow the high phases of the rut guide religuoiusly and more times than not it 100%works for me up in south central KS

Pratt Co KS .SE of Cairo we let him lay most of the day sunday cuz the boy had def hit him to far back,when we returned the harvesters had cut the field sqaure, so that just made a bad scene worse,, we talked with them, and they said they would be on the lookout for him, the landowner said the crew pulled him up to a hedge row and tied the head to the tree so coyotes didnt drag him off i,m going up to hunt this weekend, and i,ll take some pics and try and post em monday,

Re: Found the buck....finally.....! congrats thats a really nice OK buck he has lots of character, i dont mean to hijack your post but we also had some misfortune this last weekend in KS, my 13yr old shot a buck sunday morning that he says is huge,( i didnt see it) the landowner called last nite and said the harvesters found it in the milo field that we lost it in,,he said its a big 11point, i,ll post some pics after we go up this weekend, i bet he,s real nasty after 3 days in the mid 90s,,

my wife just bought me a new moss 935 3.5inch accumag,,i,ve already shot the thing and never noticed that i cant shoot slugs out of it because the barrel is overbored,((finaly read the book that came with it)) i,ve never heard of sucha thing, i no i can bye a rifled slug barrel for it, but i often pheasant hunt and come across deer and just switch to slugs, is there a barrel made for this gun that i can shoot both slugs and normal shot? what would happen if i shot normal shot through a rifled barrel? or should i just trade guns?

this might be the wrong section but i got a big problem in kansas this bow season,, my son a I drew NR tags in SE kansas in arhery units A8-A9 the landowner calls me and says he,s sold the land and i wont be able to hunt there,, i found another lease in south central kansas,, and am in dying need of 2 tags in archery units A5-A6, this is the only place in the world i have to hunt, in my love for Kansas i,ve givin up all my land here in Oklahoma, i,ve put a add in classifeids with contact information,,if anone can help please contact me,,thanks Jim -------------------- dreamin bout pre rut in Kansas
