Re: ga hunters I live in Wisconsin, but own land outside of Andersonville, Ga. From what i understand, a few guys(friends of the family, watch the land for us) have taken some bucks on our property. Looks to be a good year. I'm counting down the days still i head down.

Re: How long, how many, and the biggest... I started hunting Deer when i was 14, i am 23 now. I usually Harvest 1-2 deer a year. So far, i have only taken 3 bucks(6 pt, 8 pt, Button). I have yet to hunt this year, but i expect to take 3 or more.

If you don't hit them right, they can get back up and run away(also, if you are lucky, another one might come out).

I was hunting during the rut, and a Doe came out of the woods. I thought i should wait, incase a buck came out. Well, after a few minutes, i said forget it, and shot the doe. Sure enough, right after that happened a buck(8 pointer) came out, and mounted the deer i just shot!!! Needless to say, i went back to camp draggin 2 deer with me that night. Moral of the story, sometimes it scares em, sometimes it doesn't.

[/ QUOTE ] Leasing is allowed. However, Rifle Season is only 10 days here. Most places only lease for each season.

[/ QUOTE ] LOL, actually I have just about been tempted to take a shot at a deer out the sliding glass door on more than one occasion and although I have not yet ever done it I have given a lot of consideration to hunting from the roof of our house during parts of the rifle season.
