Before I started loading my own I was using 270gr jfn buffalo bore 44 mag ammo, they worked great on deer and hogs. Hornady 44 mag xtp bullets work well also.
That was the first thing I started hunting when I was a kid and loved it. I still break out the Buckmark at least a couple times a year and go after them.
I shot Thunderhead's for many years and switched to Muzzy a few years ago, The only reason I switched was because they shot better with the arrows I'm using. I'm fletching up some new arrows and will use the one that shoot's the best.
Pappy Boyington. I'd ask him where he got the idea to fly over Japanese airfields and taunt them to come up and fight on the radio if he didn't encounter any while on patrol.
