When I gave the cigs up 11 years ago I just quit cold turkey,I climbed the walls for the first 4 days and things slowly got better as time went on,The wild thing about it is I still get cravings from time to time for one all these years later.

Nothing better than a big bowl of gumbo being washed down with a crisp,clean, cold, refreshing Bud Light or Corona :D:D

I just a 2011 nonresident application book for Wyoming in the mail yesterday,Who's putting in for where next year? I'm putting in for preference points for deer/elk in Wyoming,I have enough points built up to get a deer tag for the unit I want to hunt in Colorado and will put in for another preference point for elk.

Who's going out next weekend? I'm leaving for camp Friday afternoon and hunt the weekend.

I'm going to wait another year,New arrows are what I have to get next year.

Leupold VX-1 4-12 and a Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14 on my Encore 280 Rem.The rest of my rifles are Leupolds.

I have a Ruger Super Red Hawk 44 mag, I think in Ohio the smallest cal allowed for handgun hunting is 357 mag.

I have two 45's, a Colt combat commander and a Glock 36 for CC,Both are great guns.

I don't think the recoil on my 300 WSM is all that bad,My 450 Marlin kicks worse than the 300 ever thought about.

Ballistic tips shoot great out of my 300 WSM but I've never used them hunting.My go to load for deer is with a 165 gr Nosler Partition and I use a 180 gr Partition for Elk and larger.

I used the 12 ga 2 3/4 buckhammers a couple of years ago and they flat stop deer in their tracks.The exit wound had lung tissue hanging out of it from a 60 yrd shot.
