Re: Oklahoma Bow Camp
Guys I need some details on this Bow Camp. What to bring, who can come, where we stay, and anything else that is applicable. It would be nice to meet some more hunters.
Re: 5 1/2 year old nocturnal buck..Do I dare enter his
c and d for me too. the deer in my neck of the woods are extremely unpredictable during the rut.

Re: Thanks Michael Waddell
That is an awesome story. Ther are still good people in the world. He is a great spokesman for the attitude and behaviors that most outdoorsmen and women have.
Re: 1st post ever...Okie
MCH, the person that I lease from has another 15,000 acres that he is trying to lease. It is only $3.50-$4.00 an acre. Not bad if you have a group.
Re: 1st post ever...Okie
Good to be here.. I hunted just south of Clayton in Stanley last year. Shot a 130" ten point, 130 lbs. There seems to be a pretty good buck to doe ratio around there. Saw more bucks than does in fact. A guy on our new leas had four bears within twenty yards of his stand yesterday evening. Can't wait to get up there and do some huntin.
Re: Taking a doe with twin fawns???
A year ago I'd have said whack her too. But I just had my first daughter. After seeing her and mom, a little hesitation my numb my release finger brother.
Re: 1st post ever...Okie
About 20 miles northwest of Antlers. I actually live in Denton, TX now. Still love hunting the hills back home though. I have seen several rubs and 1 scrape, but no big buck sightings yet.
Have any of you Eastern Oklahoma boys been seeing any bucks lately. I just got on a new lease down around honobia. I have seen a lot of does running around, but not many bucks. Doesn't really surprise me, due to the thick, 10 year pines everywhere.
